  • am i the only ryu player that does metsu shoryuken?

  • @gaspareder Well yeah, that the shittiest of Ryu's SA.

  • vanao sucks lol

  • Haha block SOMETHING man..

  • Rushdown city GAH DAMN!

  • I remember people talking about Fujiwara and how his executions was so awesome. Years ago.

Today, I have played and learned a lot about Dudley. When it comes down to it, the combo Fujiwara does are, in a way, easy.. beside the fact that they take insanely good timing...

And he always gets it... he goes for more damage combos: he gets them. What the hell? How can your execution be that good?

Anyway, just saying, I understand truly now how awesome Fujiwara's execution is.. or was.

  • utter trash!

  • @cdmanjak gutter

  • Dudley is a BEAST. And he likes cars.

  • This isn't even a fair match-up =/ Vanao doesn't even stand a chance against Fujiwara...

  • @Elitist111

vanao will do much better now against fuji. definitely win a couple games.

  • i think ken and akuma players are most annoying opponents. they both share same tactics,4 example aerial attacks. ken with his high jump kick and combo, and akuma with his jump throw, jump fireball, and jump kick. really annoying. i used 2 play ryu, and compare 2 ken and akuma, ryu can be hard 2 use. most of his powerfull attacks are groundbased. verry differ from those two.

  • wat

  • Ryu is actually pretty good against Akuma, in my view. Ryu's high damage is amplified by Akuma's poor defense. I beat a guy about 20 times in a row...he picked every Shoto in the game and tried to spam Akuma's air fireballs. I just kept countering them and using Ryu's Denjin Hadouken setups to make him see stars. Didn't lose a match to him until I accidentally picked Shin Shoryuken.

Then I went to Q and destroyed him again, with about 70 per cent life every round.

  • SFIV Ryu is way overused and probably stronger than he should be, but 3S Ryu is solidly mid-tier. Not many people play him it seems, it must take more skill and dedication to play Ryu especially when Ken is almost definitively better. And this guy uses Denjin, I've seen him in other videos. Better to work hard with a mid-tier than join the mob of 3S Ken players.

  • I love these types of videos. A ryu/ken/akuma player getting beaten senseless by a much better player. Mostly because those characters are very powerful, usually easy to play and incredibly overused. It's nice to see those guys get their faces smashed in every once and a while.

  • @texanwag You've played SF4 too much. Really only Ken and Akuma are used in 3s, and Akuma not too much. For the most part though, it's Makoto, Dudley, Yun, Yang and Chun. Ryu is low tier in this one.

  • i love to see shotos get beaten up.

ever played sf4 online? 95% of the time will you fight ryu, at its release there were gazillions of kens......now ryu ryu ryu ryu and u guessed it ryu!

ryu is an top tier char so its pretty damn hard to overcome him. with his cheap-ass SRK>SPECIAL combo. yeah im talking about you shoto players reading that comment! try to use a goddamn other character for gods sake there is enough variety for everyone!

  • or it could just be the ryu player wasn't very good

  • In 3rd Strike, Dudley is higher-tier than Ryu.

  • 0:43-0:48

    Best part

  • @derekmok BS.I can Beat Dudley With Ryu without Using a Hadoken.

  • @Tyrik73

    Whose Dudley? Your grandmother's?

  • GUTTEH TRASH

  • Why did throwing out the super on the wake up work?

  • He likely tried to down parry on wake up, which just got him hit by the fireball xx super

  • its a set up. usually works best after a knockdown and thrown on opponents wake up.

  • you can't block denjin only parry and the fireball just messes up there timing.

  • Damn, so close.

  • (to filling up Dudley's stunbar)

  • dudley just overkilled ryu in the end

  • He should do 360 faster back there. 1:13

  • thats the fastest 3 count possible. fireball and the denjin comboed into 4 hits.

dudley has a large stun bar.

its not possible to make 4 hits that close without taking a huge risk.

  • Thats pretty easy to say after the fight rofl

  • One!

    Two!

    V EIGHT!

  • "Down for the count."

  • I believe he's saying "The end"

  • Perhaps, but i want him to say "V eight!" because he is such a car freak. :p

  • Ha! Sick.

  • I thought he was just telling the person "you coulda had a V8" :P

  • I whole heartedly agree...

  • Excellent hit confirm at the very end into SA

  • Nice juggling by Fujiwara.

  • dudley's stun bar is a bit longer than the most of the cast...

  • I think dudley's stun bar is bigger than everyone's, tied with Hugo, Alex and Gill.

  • nah dudleys is high but the highest would be

Hugo, Q, and Oro. Gill is not part of the cast lol.

  • Actually, Q, Dudley, Alex, Oro, and Hugo all have the same size stun bar. There are only three different sizes of stun bars. Those and Gill have the long one, Remy and Akuma have the short one, and everyone else has the medium one.

  • Well he is a boxer so I guess hes good at takin punches to the head....

  • even when Vanao loses i enjoy his matches, he's still one of the better ryu players :)

  • Ryu got pwned in the second round.

  • yups he did! haha

  • Vanao screwed up the denjin setup at the end of the match. By the time he released denjin he could get 3 hits easily, and therefore stun him. I think SA2 is better VS dudley because of all the different options of hitting it, but if you can get denjin opportunities consistently like in the end of the video it's also a good option.

  • he did get that 3 hit denjin. his error would actually be at 1:00 and done standing fierce into tatsu.

  • Yeah, thanks for pointing it out. Dudley's stun bar is huge, ugh. That's why when I'm using denjin I react to parries with fierce into ex side kick (or normal side kick), though I have to limit myself to Cr. Forward into tatsu or ex fireball against chunli etc.

With that said, SA1 or SA2 is better. SA2 = hit confirm off UOH, close mk, short short, jumping reset (dudley is easy to reset), and crossover mixups on the corner. SA1 is like having two supers, SA1 itself and all the ex fireballs. XD

  • I noticed something when watching a number of Vanao's matches. Whenever he successfuly pulls of a Geni Jin; he loses the round because he is so damn impatient! It's frustrating to see it every time.

  • bad choice of SA on Vanao's part

  • Lol at 0:21

  • Nice juggling by Fujiwara.

  • frankie got a full stun on kokujin 2x

  • fucking vanao doesnt setp denjin properly!!

  • I had never seen a Denjin setup against a good Japanese player that went perfectly. It happens in FFA but that is a different story. Besides, he was going up against Fujiwara. No one can get a full stun out of him with Denjin. That man is a beast. Too bad he is retired.
