  • David, I come back to this video time and time again when I need a little inspiration. When the hundreds of tagged dogs needing rescue, or the call or the emails seem to be weighing more on my shoulders than usual......this is the video I watch over and over again. :)

  • @ExtraOrdinaryUs Im standing there right with ya. I shot the video, I lived through the events, and I come back and visit when I need a reminder of WTF IM doing here in Colorado... why we stress over getting to city council meetings, why we canvas the streets with literature and talk with people about pit bulls and the ban at: the grocery store, the library, the vet clinic, the post office, etc etc etc every day. Something I can give you to remind you of why we keep pressing forward:

  • @ExtraOrdinaryUs Forrest is alive, he is grown up fit and strong and healthy, he is social and friendly and converts Pit Bull haters and skeptics on a daily basis. He is my pillow at nite, he is my "pause" on THOSE DAYS when we could all use a little re-assurance, and his "energy" is calming to our 5 other dogs and strangers alike.

  • @ExtraOrdinaryUs (((PS))) Coming soon to a browser window near you: TEAM PIT-A-FULL RAW... Confessions of a Responsible Pit Bull Owner.

  • @ExtraOrdinaryUs I come back and watch many of the Videos when I need uplifting,,or to just believe that there is saving that can still be done..and sometimes when I need one to help others....

  • @judiannmac me 2

  • @judiannmac me too

  • I have seen the most amazing peope doing the most amazing things in rescue. I love you all! Keep loving and doing what you do, THANK YOU! I loved the story and the video.

  • @anewearth4us08 oddly... they (the animals) tell us exactly what they need and want. its us humans who fail to really listen and "hear" them. my three have taken the time to make sure their new dad's ears and comprehension are crystal clear. they truly are amazing and the greatest gift Ive ever received in life.

    VIVA Team Pit-a-Full

  • Thank you David! This made me really cry...for the owners, and for the dogs.

  • @hullshaven

No need to cry. I did enough of that for the both of us, and your neighbor, you co-workers, and even your favorite clerk at the grovery store. The raod trip was one of those "once in a life time " event.

Imet so many wonderful people, assembled my family, and headed back west.

As for the owners... well, lets just say that them losing their dogs was destiny... in a good way.

  • Thank you David!

  • from one rescuer to another.. u done good ..thanks for sharing ..

  • it was painful, it was emotional, it was infuriating (walking on death row)... but ohhhhhh so worth it.

Long Live Team Pit-a-Full and ALLLLLL Their Bully Buddies Near and Far

  • This is simply a wonderful video, and it tells of a wonderful story.

If there were more people like you, this world sholuld be a better place.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • LOL, thanks for the at-a-boy's and the kudos... but Im no one special. Im just some dude who saw opportunity and struck while the iron was hot.

Over a year later, Team Pit-a-Full is Thriving, they are all in excellent health and spirits.

    Tune in Again ...

    "Team Pit-a-Full: RAW" coming soon.

  • @DaziDog

ok, the reason is that simply i have the need of videos like this, sometime :D

  • well use and abuse it.

tell the world these and other dogs stories.

I believe we can change the mind of skeptics... one idiot at a time.

  • I am so glad someone posted this on Facebook or we would have never met. You are an incredible human being, what lucky dogs. Well, lucky you as well. Unlike humans, animals can love unconditionally.

  • Though the dogs have a brilliant life now... I am the lucky one.

    TRULY.

Ive learned patience, unconditional love, tolerance, commradery, a sense of being and belonging, and what it is to genuinely love.

Is that luck? maybe, or it could be a case of pure and simple grace.

  • I am so glad these dogs were saved. I work for a large veterinary clinic that treats emergency and critical care patients. Believe me, the most dangerous animal is man. I have seen such atrocities done to animals by their owners, and do you think anything truely happens to these owners? We allow humans to kill and rob and then let them go with the smack of the hand. When will authorities learn that a bullitt is much faster than teeth? Save the dogs, kill the criminals!!!

  • wow what a beautiful video...thank you!

  • no, thank YOU for appreciating my story.

if not for yourself and your own cause, then go the distance for animals.

  • "You do not know love,

    You do not know joy,

    You do not know hope,

Until you have witnessed the arrival of mass animal transport."

AMEN TO THAT!!! I am a volunteer with The East Coast's Doggy Freedom train, pulling death row dogs from high-kill shelters in the south, and getting them to rescues/foster homes up north.

    NOTHING COMPARES

  • One really has to witness this first hand to see the beauty, the humbling effect, the aw inspiration this is only found in animal rescue transport.

I thank you for the support

    The Team thanks you also

  • Great stuff! Keep rollin'!

  • these dogs deserve it.

    Spread the word...

NO BREED SPECIFIC LAWS, not in my city, not in my state, not in my country!!!

  • This made me cry. I cant believe there is really a "death row" for dogs!! This just doesnt make any sense at all.

I wish I could be a part of something so great as what you did to save these dogs!!

    -Amy

  • Amy...

All I can tell you is dont wait, dont procrastinate, dont assume someone else will step in and help.

YOU can be part of something like this, and it doesnt take driving 2800 miles to do so.

There are dare to be great situations RIGHT here in So calif.

Its a matter of holding your nose and making the leep. If you feel the fire burning in your gutt, its time to jump.

    Rock on MAMA!!!

    Chef David-

  • Yeah but I dont drive at all so its like not possible for me to get any where to do anything. Im reading the drivers handbook so hopefully I can get my license. I really want to start a rescue but I cant because I dont have space for kennels or anything and I have no one to help me.

  • Keep up the great work. You are their HERO!!!

  • What an angel you are for helping save Kane! I worked in the Denver Municiple Shelter for a short peroid of time as a teen and the pictures(3:55 4:06) look as cold as the place feels. So many great dogs have spent days, weeks, and months there because of Denver's refusal to wake up and realize the blame belongs on the other end of the leash. But YOU are an angel, an absolute angel!!!

  • Way to go!

    Fight like Chris did.

    Go public.

You will be supported in your battle.

If commonsense and facts can`t overturn BSL

Show them the cost of enforcing it.

Show them the Legal Battles that will ensue!

    BOYCOTT DENVER,COLORADO!

    BOYCOTT ONTARIO,CANADA!

    BOYCOTT ANYPLACE THAT HAS BSL!!!

  • Loved the music as well as the story and as a resident of WA state it tickled me that the smattering of rain in NV created comments on the video. Ha! Well done and fascinating video.

  • David, I am so happy to finally see pics of your amazing trip which even including returning a rottweiller who had been seperated from her Mom by divorce. You were able to take her as well. Kane is the most beautiful dog in the world. Daze and Forrest and Kane make such an incredible team and you have done more than anyone in this fight to save this breed. I am forever grateful to u. Keep the films coming. They are so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pack with us. Jeramie Dreyfuss

  • Hello my good friend Jeramie. As I put in the video... the whole road trip was supposed to be one thing, yet turned out to be so much more.

This was not something to stick in my own back pocket and hord. I have to share this experience... and so I do through video.

Keep up all your GREAT work in Fighting these rediculous laws.

The meek (or dogs) shall inherit the earth.... and shake us off like a bad case of fleas.

  • Tears... I'll have to come back to leave a proper comment, just makes me cry, wonderful people for saving them xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Your video has touched my heart. I have 2 rottweilers, so I know full well about BSL. Although I live in New York where there is supposedly no bsl laws, there are 6 towns near me who created thier own bsl laws. I feel deeply for Kanes family. How horrendous. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being these dogs HERO. Without people like you, where would we be. Thankyou.

  • Oh! The tears are pouring down.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I am a small time bully rescuer in Ventura CA.

This gives me hope and pride to be connected to such a wonderful breed and the people behind them.

    WAY TO GO!!!!!

  • Keep those dogs Safe and near. They deserve EVERY CHANCE we can give them.

Every day that goes by, I forget a little bit more of life before Pits.

Then again, why would I want to?

    Keep rockin!!!

  • Good job. Something has to give. I have a rottie mom with 7 babies that were going to be put down and a pitty mom of 9 also to be put down. We rescue and need more caring people. So many are blind and unfortunately they really miss out on the love these animals give us. Please watch our video and pass it along to help more in need.

  • What an incredible tale of rescue!! It's so appalling that well-behaved dogs are being forcibly taken from loving homes just because some people can't take the time to think through how to solve a problem. The problem is not the breed but irresponsible owners - plain and simple. I applaud your efforts and I am in awe of the gift you have given these dogs AND their families. I'm also stuck by how well you were able to bring us all into the moment(s) of your journey. Amazing video!

  • Yeah, we who have a love for the breed face an uphill battle with the powers that be. I do believe we will prevail as winners in the end. Until then... protect those dogs and keep them from harm.

As for the video... Tho I think it tells alot, there are just feelings and things one see's that just cant be captured in photos or in telling a story. Its something I have the exclusive on whether I like it or not.

Glad you enjoyed... I'll keep producing more.

  • wow... 5stars. BSL has got to go!

  • As always a wonderful video..

    5stars and blessings from thegirlsnme!

  • Thankyou my friend for sharing this touching video to me. I have to say the tears started with Kane.

  • Thank you for your continuing efforts to shed light on the arrogance, unfairness and cruelty of Denver's Breed Specific Legislation. We're seeing a lot more folks with banned breeds in our training that are proving time and time again that it's about the deed - not the breed.

  • Funny you mention banned breeds. When I first started going to my local dog park (about a year and a half ago)... there were maybe 5-6 dogs of the bully persuasion. Now... there are close to 50-55 of them.

99% of them are brilliant and loving and playfull and cant fathom not playing with a dog of some other breed.

Thats a flaw exclusive to us humans.

  • Unfortunately there has been a number of folks in Denver who like to chain their Pits up or leave them out in the yard all day where virtually any territorial breed is going to develop those tendencies - which spoiled it for the responsible Pit owners who keep their dogs indoors, socialize them and train them.

  • You can always contact your local chapter of the ASPCA. DO NOT CALL DMAS (Denver Municipal Animal Shelter)

Doug Kelley, the director of that so called municipality, is a communist... or even worse... a typical city employee.

  • Your comment confirms that it`s owners not dogs who are the problem.

I see many other Breeds*/types chained and left outside where I live.

The Irresponsible owners don`t become responsible because you take family pets away from responsible owners.

That`s why BSL is nonsense and the owner of ANY Breed*/type must be targeted rather that the type of dog they may own.

There are many people who beat and even kill their own children.

You don`t solve that by taking kids away from good parents.

  • youre preachin' to the choir. mine are living proof that they (as all dogs do) deserve better.

  • WOW!! Thank you David!! This was Amazing!! I am in tears, By the way I am Kane's mom (Gema), This video brought back a lot of memories that hurt a lot, But just for a moment. It was just the memory of him being in that God awful place, And saying a final Goodbye to my baby, I am so happy and thankful, He is with you, you are a Blessing, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I have already watched it 3 times, and still crying!! Absolutely Wonderful!! God Bless you!!

  • Kane is doing FAMOUSLY. His weight is up to 71.5 lbs, Daze and Kane LOVE to WWF in the living room daily, yet he hasnt learned his specialized trick yet to get the treat. We're working on it tho.
