i think this is a nice idea, but i also think you should simply make the body of the cube as a regular rubiks cube. us speedcubers would like that!

I think that the sticker variation could be easily replicated, but I would still buy the real thing to support your venture.

I think you should market the mechanism as a normal Rubik's cube as well. The corner-cutting would be good for cubers who don't want to go through the trouble of assembling and adjusting a DIY cube.

I was sure that the rounded pieces would help with cutting corners and alignment, but i am very impressed with just how much. I must say I also love the colors. Did you by chance ever solve the puzzle yourself?
