Here is good info to look up, The missouri compromise, the north was fighting slavery in 1820. The north had made slavery illegal in several states as early as 1790. The very reason most southern states left the union was the economic impact that loosing slave labor would of had to their bottom line. The southern states didnt want to be controlled by washington and fought against it. as a black woman, i find this video to be ridiculous. A person of any ethnic background can be a racist, including black people. It has nothing to do with which race is minority or majority. If you hate someone solely because of the color of his/her skin, then you're a racist. Simple as that. Racism is prejudice toward a race. If a black person hates white people only because they're white, because he thinks all white people are a certain way, he can be labeled a racist. I am white, but I don't judge anyone based on their race, I judge people based on their actions, therefore I am not a racist. For example, The English have dominated all over Europe and the Scottish&Irish were especially beaten down historically and you don't hear much about them. I even gave you a couple of the states responses to Abe being elected and it was all about slavery. Their secsession letters stated very clearly that they were leaving b/c the federal govt would not support slavery. However you cannot refute that he wanted slavery to end, just not at the cost of the Union, even tho thats how it turned out, its not what he wanted. He fought to preserve the Union but the reason the civil war started is b/c of slavery if you cant see that in the documentation the states that seceded provide then you dont want the truth, just your own version.

Here is good info to look up, The missouri compromise, the north was fighting slavery in 1820. The north had made slavery illegal in several states as early as 1790. The very reason most southern states left the union was the economic impact that loosing slave labor would of had to their bottom line. They even state as much in their address as to why they left the union. There is no grey area, the war was primarily about slavery.

Lincoln did not tax the South into seceding from the Union; most of them seceded after his election but before he took the oath of office. Also, the North mostly fought for Union, not against slavery. So the soldiers fought to protect the Union, SC did attack first, it wasnt so much about slavery for them. It was for Lincoln tho. This is all public knowledge, what he writes in personal letters is not legislature. What he put in offical documents is.

@ObadiyahBlack Sorry that is incorrect. The war was fought over regualtions. The US Govt made Federal laws that all states had to adhere too. 1 of those laws was making slavery illegal. The southern states didnt want to be controlled by washington and fought against it. So while the war wasnt entirely about slavery it was the primary reason b/c the south didnt want to loose slave labor, ie loss of money.
