@bluestreak711 well you need a bold colour that is different from what is being filmed. usually Bright Green Or Chromakey Blue Are Used

@rocker9375 been using wax for multiple years now, never failed on me, It might crash if your computer doesn't meet the required min. system specs 1Gb RAM and a min. of a 1.5G processor been using that set-up believe it or not for the past 7 years and it never crashed, not even while rendering it or at the start-up. I love my dinosaur, might be slower on average every movie of 5 min, takes 10-15 min. to render but its still working, I'm in no rush while editing anyways...

how do you save your project as a video??

@8karatekid under the file button there's the new file button, when you go to the right on that bar you should hit a " project settings " button, click it, fill out how big you want your file to be ( Width x Height ), where you want to save it and give it a name, click ok.

next to the " project settings " button is a button called " render ", click that and it should start to render it into an Avi file, enjoy

@8karatekid most welcome man, I know the feeling of being frustrated to the part that you know it can be done, but you just dont know how...have fun and enjoy and btw if you want to add sound it has to be wav. format otherwise it will not render the movie, what I usually do is extract the audio, using dvdsoft ( free ) vid to mp3 converter and add the sound in wmm, might seem more work but it add to the quality...if you have any other question feel free to ask, have a nice day

@HEisJOEY thats probably cause you didnt extract the audio before editing, the audio needs to be in WAV. format or it will not render the movie, I use dvdsoft vid to mp3 conv. to do just that, delete the original audio when you add the first movie in wax then add the wav. and voila it will work, have a nice day, read the comment I gave @8karatekid, hope it helps

@lollipwop703 it will if you use the little eye dropper tool to use the color you want to be the background, then just under the tool is a fader dudge that to the right till you get the desired effect of making the background appear

Have you tried converting the video to wmv or avi? i have a sony a55 dslr and it records video in .MOV format. converting it to .WMV or .AVI always does the trick. there is a free video converter...but i forgot its name. im using my pc right now and the video converter is installed only in my laptop which i am too lazy to turn on. just search for a free all to wmv or avi video converter in youtube. if im not mistaken my video converter got the word prism in it.

If your not happy with wax 2.0 i suggest you use payware software like sony vegas(microsoft), final cut pro(OSX) ...remember this is freeware!
