I am only 13 and I have been going through alot lately. At my church, me and my friend were talking and I have this burning desire inside to be baptized but, I`m too scared to. For me, it`s also the same way with worshiping God. I just long to lift my hands to God in full surrender and give him the praise that he deserves but I`m too scared to. It`s because of these reasons and others that I have visions of committing suicide! But, I know that God wants me to hang on. What should I do??!!!!!!!!!

The Bible does talk about markings on the body.... I still see this band as being used by God...words really reflect the truthfulness of God's word.. and that's a blessing. We are imperfect only Jesus Christ is the only man who have not sinned. These guys are only human.. That's gonna be between them and God why they are all tattooed up!

Yes we do silly things, thinking God will accept it. These lovely boys may not have learnt the part in the bible about marking their bodies, until later on. l, myself would have loved the word "Jesus"tatooed on me, until l seen in the Bible it wasnt acceptable to God. We dont learn everything in one day, it takes time to understand and truly obey. Keep up the fantastic work Kutless, you are all truly amazing and a Godsend.

The arguement rages on about the appropriateness of tattoos in today's society I see. Foolishness. I recommend "Who Are You to Judge?" by Erwin Lutzer. It helped to clarify a few things,especially judgementalism in regards to outward appearances.Shame on anyone who clames to be a Christ-ian,who does not judge by His standards but instead judges by personal preferences,an issue within the church that infuriates me.Ask yourself this,Who are we to judge another's servant/slave?Check the "fruits"!

I realy like their music and it may be inspired by the Holy Spirit, but I wonder if they've read the Bible carefull enough to see that God wants us natural without marks on our skin or piercings. They've decided to serve God so they have become models for the people that listen to their music. You say that what matters is the inside but the problem is that the only way we can see the inside is when people express it. So i think that their image is kind of contradictory with what they sing. :)

This is such a blessing, listening to Kutless has opened my heart wide open. I'm spending more time with the Lord, in prayer. I'm reading the Holy Bible with passion, I even started getting ready to go to PLBC (Pacific Life Bible Collage) and I know that with God, with the Lord on my side, I will succeed in life, the Lord will take me places I couldn't go without him. In addition, for those of you so focused on the tattoos and how 'wrong' they believe it to be, what would you say to someone who doesn't know the Lord or the Gospel yet, but have tattoos and piercings? "I'm sorry, God won't accept or use you, because of how you look?" Will you not share the Gospel to people because of how someone looks? Check your heart people!

I truley believe that God excepts us how we are, I can't say that a tat is probably the best decision one can make. we need to share the love of Christ to everyone and not discriminate them because of their looks. God doesn't even do that. your right we need to look through out heart and find the love of Christ to share with everyone else.

I disagree with the tatoo arguement, put the scripture in context rather than pulling it wildly out of context. Tattoos in those times were to do with slavery, and paganism.

Nower days tattoos are to do with proclamation, belonging and declaration. People declare all sorts by tattoos.

I think it is ridiculous that everyone is so focused on their tattoos then the actual words that they are saying. Man judges by outer appearance but God judges by the heart. Who cares if they have tattoos, God does not look at those!! They are giving all glory to God in everything they do. Stop judging them for having tattoos, or piercings! It is what is in their hearts not on the outside

Jon's got such a grin! You can tell the veil is torn. :) The one black and white flowery sort of tat on whosever arm that was. Nice. :) Think how much you love this band. Now think about how much you will love Jesus when you see Him face to face. It's so refreshing (English doesn't have words for this...) to find a band that's growing stronger together, whose love is growing, instead of that is being torn apart by the stresses of touring and such. I am just all smiles now. :)

the explanation of this songs are so true.. describing what a true worship is and how music is only part off it not all of it,. it leads u and helps u connect with god but its on you, if you want to receive from god u will open your mouth and shout to the lord and ask him that he may take control, we don't need no music all we need is the holy ghost.. let god be the judge of us we are nobody to judge but we know what is good and bad

Who cares if they have tattoos! And when were you elected judge? Last I checked, that was our Heavenly Fathers role. WeNutzStoodioz is exactly right. We are called to be seperate from the world, which means to be holy and Christ-like. Tatoos only make us blend in. Jesus wouldn't where a tatoo, so if we are to be Christ-like why would we where them? Dress holy, speak holy, think holy, BE holy. Don't get the puffed up attitude of the pharisees, but live as Christ did. Humble, but holy.

I dont disagree on any point, but cant we use things like tat's and piercings and the way we dress as tools to bring people in so that they are more willing to hear the gospel? 1Co 9:22-23 says "To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some. John 13:35 says that they will know us by our love. could that be a way to be set apart? I dont know if that makes sense or not, let me know

Hebrews 12:14 it is impossible to see God without holiness. Also read 2nd Corinthians chapter 6 verse 16-18 and 2nd Corinthians Chapter 7 verse 1. We are to be seperate from the world not of the world and to be holy for God is holy. We got to be different. The bible says we will be a peculiar people that means we will look different. When u walk down the street you will look seperated.

That verse is out of context, cause it is in the old testament when God was laying down rules for the Israelites. However, I the Bible does say that our body is God's temple, so I don't think that we as Christians should get piercings or permenant tattoos.

If they got them before they were Christians I wouldn't have any promblem with them. But why get tattoos with scripture on it when scripture ITSELF says not to?

I could be wrong, but from what I understand, that was a time when God was trying to make His people Holy, as in "set apart" from the other nations.. That's why there was a lot of rules, laws etc... Right now, we are under the law of Grace. God is into how the heart is, not how one looks etc... With that in mind, I'm not unto tattoos myself.

@TheOneTheyCallRyYan Jesus fulfilled the old testament law for us. Do you keep the laws about meat and stuff? Jesus said that if you break any of the law, you break all of it. There is a difference between ritual observances and moral laws. The rituals of the old testament are replaced with the new covenant through Christ. God bless :P

Leviticus 19:28 says "You shall not make ant cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD" The Pagans cut themselves in mourning for lost loved ones. This verse was God speaking through Moses telling them not to mark themselves for dead people. Cutting was to resemble separation from the dead. God is saying with Him there isn't separation. Besides, it is old Jewish law. It was overhauled, so to speak, with The New Testament. Which means The New Covenant.
