Why would a site ask you for a password when it's in their archive of the site? If they really need it, it can be accessed easily. So if any email from a site asks for my password, it's clearly a scam.

the system.database email was a 'cc' email, or carbon copy email, they can write what every they want there, it's to send a copy of the email address and it appears on the sent email.

the best thing people use it for is complaints emails, they put a lawyer or something official looking in there so there complaint is read and replied to rather than ignored.
