For me it's not about God or Christ. When you put "he" and "him" with a capital letter, you mean that this song is by definition not meant for people who have another meaning for the song?

How He died for our sins and how the narrator didn't believe He died for our sins until they experienced His love for humanity. If you don't like the meaning of the song, oh well.
