The chinese invention of the gunpower do something ofcourse, but the biological virus euro-smelly-nonhigienic war did the gross killing (wrong statement from this docu).... nevertheless, Spanish with their so advanced armament, horses (Aztecs looks at them as big deers), and about 70,000 amerindians allies, suffered some lost battles and TOOK 2 YEARS !!! to them to defeat the primitive weapons of the Aztecs... amazing resistance.... many lessons still to learn from this people.

The Aztec Empire fell because of disease and also because other Native tribes rebelled, the Spanish did little to nothing about that "great and famous" conquest.
