  • My Dr said give it about a week and they will get use to not having it and they won't wake up anymore. My son took a week just like they said. I was worried about him not getting enough nutrition but they make up for it when they don't get what they want with what u give them you just have to be strong. You are the mama. She knows u will give in. Cows milk is the way to go at her age and just have a sippy cup around at all times. They will take it when they want it. Hope any of that helps.

  • @ltrepany I usually am strong and persistant lol but i do admit to giving in lately at night. I think i will buckle down though and refuse the 1.30am feeding.

  • What if you tried pumping and giving that to her in a cup? That would wean her from you breast. Then you could switch to cows milk. My daughters Dr recommended introducing milk little by little. Like mixing it with her formula or breast milk a little each week until it was eventually all milk. :) I hope that helps a little!

  • @NWGandee I dont produce enough to pump anymore lol.

  • When my son stopped nursing at 25 months he drank whatever he asked for, whenever he asked for it... cows milk, juice, water.

  • @xpoeticxtragedyx Did he wean himself at 25mo or did you gradually stop?

  • @kookaiiz he stopped on his own as my supply had dropped a bunch from pregnancy, and he had a cold so it wasn't worth it to him to try to nurse while not being able to breathe.
