from the left side you reach back more, and my guess would say that there is more movement witht the fastball. Right handed you short arm it a little. that tells me you may play infeild as a righty. You may want to work on slowing down your motion on the right side and reach back a little more to get more velocity and controll. the Left side you concentrate more it seems and is very good to watch. MY advice is to never stop loving the Game! great video.
hi tk boarder63, where have you been?, i've missed you, show yourself, stop hiding behind the text,i live on long island. my invite is still open. face me in the batters box
hey ginger remember me... i like how your dad calls balls and strikes, and i also like how he rubs bengay all over your ass and genitals. you're not even good enough to throw batting practice at the special olympics.
arm strengh? mechanics? which is it I don't have. I am 14 and I throw average 80 plus righty and over 65 lefty. so at the age of 14 which do I lack arm strengh or mechanics? Please tell me I value the opinion of a 38 YEAR OLD WASHEDUP1945.
I call BS on that one. If that's the case ... then you'll probably blow your arm out before you make it through your first year of college. And you won't get picked up in early rounds of the draft because you're a hs pitcher - too risky for an early pick - and bc your coach will likely pitch you far too many innings.
In all likelihood, you're probably high 60s lefty (if that's your non-natural side) and mid- to upper-70s righty ... good digits for a teenager.
@tuoz42 If that's true, you'd be one of the top ten high school pitching prospects in the country. And, besides this feed, I've never heard of you. Also, your high school team would be winning state this year. You're claiming big-league velocity as an adolescent and as a teenager ... if you have any semblance of control and two complementary pitches (changeup, curve, something) that are a C+ or better then you're saying you're a year or two AT MOST away from pitching in the Majors....
... All that ... and I still think you're at risk of blowing up your arm. How many pitches do you throw each game? How often are you pitching in game situations? If you're throwing more than 75 pitches in a game, more than two games each week, you're at high risk with what you're doing to your body. And I hope to God you're not throwing sliders, cutters or splitties ... or you're for sure going to need TJ surgery by the time you're 20.
@tuoz42 Sorry ... I've got a lot better things to do with my life than dedicate every waking moment reading up on you. Didn't mean to put you off so long.
Congrats on the school record. Hope you have an good college career and use ball to pay for an education. Odds are stacked against you in the future. If you ever are drafted, you'll be worked out as two different pitchers, not one. Twice the work. Enjoy.
And I'll be sure to re-arrange my schedule so you're the priority from here on out.
@joshdonat for someone who has been involved in the game for so long shouldnt be making derogatory statements about my career. maybe giving me more of positive constructive advice. ive been doing well so far......jealous much?
The real downer, though, is the attitude you have in your postings. If you're posting this, you're obviously hoping a scout (like me) or a college recruiter is looking at this.
Unfortunately, many organizations are looking for character and coachability as much as they are talent. And though you've got some skill, you have very little character (judging only by your posts), and you're clearly not coachable at all.
And that, my young friend, will keep you from finding a spot in any rotation.
I don't know if your mechs have changed at all since this vid, but this is one thing to work on. Right before peak leg kick you what to start falling forward then once leg gets to its highest point then you drive with your legs. Just my suggestion.
@tuoz42 If you can't take criticism, get out of the game immediately. You're going to need to accept it - and, in many cases, apply it - if you're going to make it in the baseball world.
Impressive. Your left arm strength is good but I notice when you swing your right leg into motion you tend to have it out. Most lefties i've played with and even myself tend to swing their leg in of course thats because thats their most comfortable motion and if thats yours then thats fine. Nice glove ,is it muzuno?
I have been watching your progress. You have been making excellent strides at the lefty mechanics. Keep up the great work. I have been working with Mellick and he is improving at both sides for the last 5 months. Keep up the great work. Hammer

Some people just aren't born with arm strength. Don't get upset, there is always soccer.

Woaaa, where is all this anger coming from little boy? If I was born in 1945 I'd be a lot older than 38. I'm also not 38.
