No they performed their group performance, and during it he kicked another guy when doing his aerial and fell, thats my guess as to the reason he didnt make it on

I could see that. I dont remember it, but if it did happen it makes sense that he would have not made the top 20 for a mistake that drastic in the group rounds.

I hope he came back this season as his absence in the top 20 for a second year would be unsettling.
