  • The Movie Is Called: Grey Owl

  • @983921

    I guess so :-)

  • My favorite movie! I just read his book "The Beaver People". Fascinating book!

  • Floyd Red Crow ..

What a magnificent man he was.

  • The mayan text was 90% destroyed by savage cavemen, and we are are but children to there knowledge!

  • NORTHERN CREEE

  • From one native bro to another. Greetings from the Kirat tribe in Himalayas, Nepal.

I am proud for being native of the Himalayas.

Kiratas--Mongloid in race first appear in the Yajur Veda (Shukla XXX.16; Krisha III.4,12,1), and in the Atharva Veda (X.4,14), 1400 B.C - 1000 B.C

The term "Nepal" is first found in 'Atharva Parishista' (4th Century B.C.)

The term "Kirat Desh"or Kirat Country is found in the earlier documents such as Veda.

    Regards

    Kirati

  • Never liked Pierce as an actor until I saw this movie! This is the greatest movie as well as The Snow Walker, and about the Natives not accepting others, it only depends on the Natives. Those that don't accept will do a great injustice to our people because we need all those who are Native in their heart! My goal as a writer is to cause everyone throughout the world to want to be a Native. Until they do we will not be free!

  • Thank you so much ! ♥

  • @WhiteStarWoman

I do believe that being Native is not whats on the outside but whats in the heart. I am Native in my heart!!! You My Sister have caused me this. Blessings to you and all People!

  • "Ok, 'm not Apache... I'm english."

HAhAHA! Pierce, It's ok we know. LOL!

  • i love native americans

  • why?

  • I love this film, one of my favorites. I love films about Native peoples.

  • YOu should watch "Snow Walker". It's about Inuit people in Alaska. Also watch, "Whale Rider" Great movies about native culture. At the very least. watch the trailers.

  • This is excellent. What movie? When? Where?

  • What is the name of the movie actually, I haven't watched them and I really love Native Indians and would like to watch that movie...

  • Look for Grey Owl. I will send you a link where you will find it.

  • pierce brosnan is the man!!!

  • Yes he is. And he is the kind of man I want live in the nature like him also !

  • i am a grey owl!!!! for life!

  • It is year 2009 and very far from year 1931.

Grey Owl was lucky man to born at that time.

Native Indians today become more restricted and it is almost unpossible to have Native girl as your wife.Even if your hearth beats the same as Native heart or Grey Owl's.You can tell them that you are the same thinker and you flow in them culture like an Eagle, they will not take you in anymore. This movie I uploaded, to wake up the Native Indian hearts and let them know that they have white brothers waiting.

  • Never herd of Grey Owl until now, Thanks for uploading this! He must of been a true spirit of the wild. I am proud :)

  • Lizettehurtado

  • yes Archie actually wrote quite a few..but yes there are some about his life...he was the first conservationist... he was taught by the Ojibwa nation... bear island is on lake Temagami..pristine waters- huge reserve there now..many retreats go there...considered very sacred and spiritual..

  • She:kon / Greetings

I had a great time working on the film with Pierce and Richard Attenborough. They treated us extras (I was technically one step above this title :-) . I can be seen at several times in this clip (5:35) at the far right of the screen. Not the best photo I ever took! It was filmed at about 4:30 in the morning after a very long day's shoot. I posted a video response showing some of the video I shot on set. Enjoy.

  • amloft

    This is amazing !

Where exactly are you ? at the right of the screen? Are you exactly in the corner the third person from the left just behind Floyd Red Crow Westerman?

What do you know about this actor " Pony " the wife of Grey Owl in this movie? Where she is today anyway? Is she a Mohawk from Kahnawake or where she lives? It would be nice to have a coffee with her some day ;-)))

Thank's for your video respond and for your time,

    Radek

  • aani! sekon- greetings! also

Annie was from Maniwaki Quebec i believe. which is north of Ottawa...located on the Gatineau river. Many of the scenes are shot there... .Annie Galipeau is the actresses name. she is Mohawk i think but not certain.

    meegwetch git chi-manitou!!

  • What that word mean : meegwetch git chi-manitou ? :-)

I like Annie. I just wish I would be her husband ;-)

I would be so happy to live with her in the nature.

Thank you very much for your comment.

  • Hello L.Maria,

The original name of this movie is " Grey Owl "

And the main actor in this movie is Pierce Brosnan ( Grey Owl ) with his lovely wife : Annie Galipeau ( Pony )

I have a another parts of this movie later on.

Floyd Red Crow Westerman died last year, 13 December 2007 at age 71. Red Crow will be missed by his friends, family, and fans. We are grateful for his fine work in his movies. It is a much better film because of him.
