avendo letto il racconto che porta il titolo di questa sonata "sonata a Kreutzer"di Lev Tolstoj...son finita qui...quale illuminante completamento a comprendere l'umore dello scrittore...ed avvicinarsi appieno al senso...entrando nella intonata empatia...lo sfogliare del piano unito allo sfregar delicato dell'archetto ora acuto ora pizzicato dalle dita con puntuale maestria senza sopraffare anzi evolvendo l'incanto dello scorrere delle dita sulla tastiera...dell'incantevole piano...

Oistrakh hace gala de un dominio perfecto del violín en una obra tan compleja y llena de fuerza. Una auténtica demostración de superioridad en un instrumento tan difícil de manejar. Para mí sin duda el mejor violinista de todos los tiempos con el permiso de menuhin.

Howcome a lot of videos with Oistrakh are of such low quality? They all sound as if the tape was stretched, well, I guess that's very possible.

I was fortunate as a very young person to hear Oistrakh and Bauer play this Sonata live in Bonn in 1974. I didn't know then why I was so stirred by this music - I know better now.
