@juno4000 The first... twenty episodes or so aren't anything super special. They're fun to watch but nothing amazing. The series really takes off after that point and never looks back.
Not to say that there aren't some incredible moments early in the series. GaoGaiGar vs. the Zaku Zonder is a standout, in like episode 14/15.
@kefkakrazy What about when Taiga fought off zombie employees BY CALLING HIS ATTACK WITH A GOLF CLUB!! (And then used said golf club again in episode 3 of GaoGaiGar FINAL, which I thought was his Crowning Moment of Awesome, which is saying SOMETHING for Kotaro Taiga.)
@kefkakrazy You need the first 20 eps to get all the pieces in place. Yeah, it's kind of a standard giant robot show there, but it gets all the weapons and robots in place, and then suddenly WHAM it takes off like crazy.
@juno4000 may i also suggest tengen toppa gurren lagann? that show just overflows with over-the-top insane awesome! and if you do watch it, don't forget to watch the 2 movies (essentially alternate versions of a collection of episodes each, epic alternate versions mind you >:D)
The scene at the beginning where they roll out to save Tokyo and go through everyone's transformations while Saikyou Robo Gundam plays in the background was the point in the series where I realized just how epic this show was.
The lyrics to the song go like this: The blazing red dude Will never forgive evil! His heart of justice is blazing! The awesome, cool-headed blue dude Has the power to freeze his enemies! He hides his anger withing himself! As long as the courage of Earth exists Our comrades are immortal! Gogogogogo Gigigigigi Their mechanical bodies go Gangangangagan! Fight, Brave Robot Corps!
The dude who dives into the purple fog Disperses the darkness quickly! His eyes see into the truth! The huge orange dude Becomes a strength boosting hammer! He is the tank that shakes the soul! As long as the courage of the world exists We will protect everyone's happiness! Gogogogogo Gigigigigi Their iron bodies go Gangangangagan! Fly up, Brave Robot Corps!
The gentle dude who loves green Has a Mixer that calls upon storms! He is the ally of weak people! The dude who gives off the golden lightning-- The energy that streaks across the skies! The chanting in his heart will not stop! As long as the courage of the universe exists The GS Ride is undestroyable! Gogogogogo Gigigigigi Their strong bodies go Gangangangagan! The Strongest Brave Robot Corps!
He's not part of the song. The first part of the song is for HoRyu and EnRyu. The second part is Volfogg and Goldymarg. The last part is FuRyu and RaiRyu. All the video clips correlate to the appropriate part of the song. And if you REALLY want to be technical, Mic does have a cameo at the very end.
well, mic has his OWN SONG. That is to say, he's too cool to have to share it. I believe that places him up there with King J-Der and GGG, GFG, and G.GGG. 8]
@Studmanafier Actually, you are mistaken. If you listen to the song, you can hear the order they refer to the robots. It goes EnRyu, HyoRyu, Volfogg, Goldymarg, FuRyu, and RaiRyu. The color is the very first word in each segment; aka=red, ao=blue, murasaki=purple, orenji=orange, midori=green, kiiro=yellow. The SHOW actually has Goldymarg and Volfogg in the wrong order in episode 27. The song used in this video is the full version of Saikyou Yuusha Robo Gundan, and is unaltered in any way.
@Studmanafier Again, the song in this video is the full version, unaltered. The show swapped around the lines for Goldymarg and Volfogg when playing it in episode 27. All I did was sync up video clips to each part of the song, but it's again, unaltered. I'm not sure I understand what your point is?
@Studmanafier Yeah, I'm honestly not sure WHY they made the switch, it's just apparently there. No worries, man. Can't hate a fellow mech fan that can appreciate a good show. It's cool.
Mic Sounders is an American Robot built by NASA who is not as good a fighter as the GGG robots. That's why Mic is not included in the Gaogaigar battle song.
There's also the fact that most of the lyrics that can be found online are inconsistent. Apparently, people translate the kanji very differently, at times. I ran into the same problem when looking for Power of Desire lyrics.

Alright, who let The Z-Master and Palus Abel onto the Internet?
WillRennar 7 months ago
@WillRennar Palus Abel or is it Pisa Sol?
Axel7043 3 months ago
@Axel7043 Palus Abel pretty much ran the show with the 13 Sol Masters. Pisa Sol never did a damn thing without told to by her.

Sweet!! I have to add this to my list of mech anime. Getter robo has some comp

I like to think that Mic is the one singing it.
I know he's not, that's just how I like to think of it.

@Taoto No, the show had lyrics and it said "crush the darkness" which refers to the goldion hammer's "HIKARI NI NARE" meaning transform into light

But MIc's the most powerful of the Gundan...
KatomaMundara 2 years ago
It's not your fault Volfogg's part was cut short. That's just how the song goes...
If this video had the subs in it for the song, that'd make it even more awesome.

I would, but I really don't know how to edit the video THAT much, or how to encode it.
