Want to REALLY know how to survive marriage? Put Jesus Christ above all things. That's the real answer. These "how to" manuals like in this video are great for a short amount of time, but they will NEVER last in the long run. I know this because God says so. Only by trusting in God can our marriages be strong. Otherwise, we are just decieving ourselves and denying the only cure that exists.
deeperwonder I totally agree! its so true. uh I just have miserable 17 years of life, but had a lot experiences with guys from and all over the world. Until I finally found one whos worth he waiting: He has a really good heart. He might not be the one, i have my whole life ahead, but at least to be happy with and share my happiness with, someone who deserves my love, 100% sure
There are no keys to a good marriage no matter how understandin and fun u r and how many nasty sex moves u know hes gonna cheat on u so jus make sure u have it set up that u get half when it comes crashin down
Nah, just gotta fall in love with someone with a good heart. Forget about looks, money, charm...love someone for the goodness in their heart and they will never fail you. You don't keep someone by being fun, and tolerant and a sex goddess. You keep someone by loving them, and allowing them to truly love you in return - trust me, find someone who is good to those around him (relatives, children, friends, animals) and you can bet that he will be good to you too.
wow sounds like someone who hasnt been cheated on yet. trust me my husband treats his kids friends and even his dog like royalty everyone exept me i guess
"surviving you first year marriage"... I wonder what would people say about this concept 200-300....2000 years ago...hmmm....I think they would say that people who needs "to survive" this situations should probably be locked in mental institutions or to be considered complete retards.
While some people will benefit from the MAN MADE institution of marriage, the vast majority will be negatively affected by it. Most to suffer are highly individualistic or independant types of people who find it difficult to compromise. While it is true that women in general have a greater need or desire for marriage than men, this does not make their suffering any less. Wife abuse, based mostly on male/female psychological differences, continues to increase.
As children show us, the sexes were not really meant to mingle, much less get married, but with time we weaken and give in to one another. Secondly, no one should own anyone. We are all free agents and to lay your claim on someone is no less than slavery. Thirdly, no one person can ever really fulfill all your needs or desires.
Children born in or out of wedlock should ALWAYS be raised by the mother, as she is more naturally equipped for the task. The ideal is a communal type of society where children, however they are born, are cared for by everyone, and gravitate freely to whomever they are attracted to. Unfortunately, this can only really happen when our planet is liberated from the negative system ruling it.
Point one is only relevant to people who made the mistake of building too much on the idea of a wedding without putting enough consideration on the more pertinent point of the marriage that comes afterwards, point two is only relevant to people who made the mistake of not bothering to know their partner before getting married.
The real problems occur with the necessary concessions involved in living together, which can't always be properly experienced prior to marriage.
santi781... thanks for illustrating true dumb-ass-ship... its obvious so many are surprised at how difficult marriage is and are faced with buyers remorse so to say... so its very good that this topic is discussed .. your comments are so helpful in understanding how people can be so ignorant of reality and how that can lead to unexpected problems. You are very kind and thoughtful to make it so apparent.
hello!!!!! In the group of primates you can find lemurs, lorisids, galagos, tarsiers, monkeys, and apes (including great apes such as humans)!!! not just men!!! do your research first before insulting women!! What did your mother ever do to you and you hate women so much!!??? relax!! you should never categorize people!!
EVERYTHING is always about the fuck'n'bitches ...male as primates as they can be are ALWAYS toss aside. And you all wonder why the today weddings don't last. Wake up girls WE the primates are NOT put on this earth to serve your every fuck'n'princess act. So grow up, for god sake. jeez.
Nobody should listen to a fuck like tiffany, she's one good example of a damn princess ...gorgeous but think only ofherself ...a case of ME, MYSELF & I again.
I agree i was engaged once but for like a month it was all about her and blah blah blah so i called it off, if they would learn to relax a little a tone the marriage thing down a little it wouldnt be so bad.
ouch I hit her hard lol, fortunatly not all women are like that (like mine, 5 years now) but most are at certain lvl because we are all educated in the same lame society. well I hope you find one someday soon. bye
lol that was a hoot! It really is true that some hubbys get all teary eyed at chic flicks etc when they think no one is watching. But I think that's cute! :-D
As someone who's been married 9 years (through ups and downs), I can say for a fact that the one big mistake is doing EVERYTHING together all the time. Married couples are under the illusion they become one person, which is massively false. If she wants to watch chick flicks, let her! Doesn't mean he must, and the same for his action flicks to her. He likes camping, she likes surfing. So go do those! Try them, sure, but be individuals!
i know so many people that have kids and are not married but live a "MARRIED" life. they love each other very much, but i bet anyone if they were to get married things would go down the drain. marriage to me is just like a contract, once you sign it your stuck for life and if you bail out of your contract you will get some heavy penalty. sorry to sound negative but i have seen marriage ruin allot of good people.
when ur a newlewed is hard to live with that other person because they have diffrent ways of living umm excuse my bad english.. i cant explain... but when ur bf and gf its totally diff ....like my husband is very messy and im a neat freak and thats our prob.. hihi ,,,,
This is my point. Statistically, about half of all marriages fail. I don't believe that people think that marriage provides the commitment or love you seek. Commitment and love do not require marriage at all. Why the need for marriage as an institution at all. If you love someone, you love them. Does it have to do with taxes and insurance policies or something?
@Mormeguil69 My thoughts exactly, my parents have been together for 20 years and the only got married last year to secure their will, not even a ceremony, just went to city hall and signed some papers and had a nice trip to Paris.. :)
Marriage dose not equal happiness nor dose it increase the love in a relationship.. either it's there and it's enough or it isn't..
@Mormeguil69 ur a bastard child ... technically.. too bad u have to live with that label just cus ur parents chose to live a "different" life.. oh well ur most likely a wonderful person..
@kakaonkaka You're most definetly right about me being a bastard. To be entirely honest I never really had that label so I don't see how it can be "Too bad".
Nobody really commented except as a "Oh, your mother a different family name ?!
-Yeah, my parent never got married.
-Oh thats it? I was wondering if she was your stepmother or something"
@Mormeguil69 Yea thats what i like to hear marrige is lame to me. It cost a shit load of money you dont get anything out of it eexpet you have to pay your partner 50% of your money it you deside to split up... its LAME! and you girls out here needs to see that two
Well it depend of what you define as "emotionally married". I would probably agree that they have the emotion that you would include in your definition.
I would not agree that "emotionally married" would be the best term. I would probably use something closer to "Emotionally attach groupe of two person".
I also don't like the idea that marriage is something set in stone. Couples should be constently redefining and questioning they're relationship to have it grow.
0:50 - new wife already has short hair; she probably cut it all off the day back from the honeymoon - watch out fellas
