Are you measuring 0-100 or 10-100? It starts around 1 sec and ends around 8. In no way it is near to 6.2sec. In addition speedometer in these cars starts a bit later, then the car moves.
@gk129 Who are you trying to cheat? This one has at best 6.5 sec, but i have seen new saabs speedo agains a gps. Compare it with any gps at steady 100, then we can talk. Your car has 1600kg , it would need approx 350hp to have 5.5-5.8sec 0-100. Be realistic.
@gk129 I know it's not an asian car, but 0-60 goes in 6.3 seconds on a MANUAL car. The automatic version looses some time vs the manual... I'd say 7 seconds is pretty fair for that car.
I have a 9-5, and it accelerates much faster when I turn electronic stability protection off using the button on the dash. Another poster also mentioned using the sport button on the gear shift, that will push the engine a little harder.
@aminy23 I am sorry, but on a 250+bhp FWD car like this one, you turn off ESP and the only place you will be going faster is the tyre shop - even with conservative use of the gas and ESP on this car is a beast and hard to launch quickly. I have managed to time myself at 6.7s with ESP on and that was my best launch on a manual SC. 6,2? Ich don't think so...
the times saab publishes are sometimes quite conservative, i've gotten my automatic 2.0T to sixty in 7.4 seconds which is the published time for the manual. i've gotten our automatic aero to 60 in 6.5 seconds which is the published time for the manual as well. there are alot of factors that determine how quickly you get up to speed, including weight (how much gas was in the tank) and the stickiness of the tires... sometimes you get everything right and get a good time...
@maverick223 driving a normal road car all of those factors would contribute next to zilch. the biggest overriding factor would be air temperature. Compare times when the temp is 4.0degrees celcius compared to 30 degrees celcius, you will see a significant difference. Volumetric efficency my friend..
@mpdp85 true... but i can say that i have seen a 3/10ths second increase to 60mph with a new set of tires (in similar ambient temperatures) i don't know what that meant over a 1/4 mile, but it was noticeable.
Did u tune it by hirsch or any other company, is it an aero XWD??? 6.2 seems like the acceleration of the Hirsch for the XWD models so is my guess right?
P.S. u should use the sport button, and it will give u better acceleration!

@jackkpl This one is accurate. It is not a cheap asian car. Mostly asian cars do that when they start a bit later. The car is high five seconds.

@gk129 You must be using a broken stopwatch, because I got 6.6, 6.7, and 6.6 seconds each time I timed it.
