  • Everyone wants the India of the 90s. You will get those old days if you wish. But Would you dare to delete your facebook account atleast. I did . Because i missed those days from heart. If you cant, you have no right to talk about THOSE GOLDEN DAYS

  • @ponovka gud one....very well said......we cud get those days back if we forget the latesst improvised technology and live with those golden olden days .......i miss those days....

  • Surabhi, the magical show.Pride of DD-1. memory of childhood.

the simple, knowledge worthy, Indian style, impressive anchoring and beautiful intro music.

    and much more........

  • anyone remember the serial SCHOOL DAYS & CAPTAIN VYOM

  • i really miss those days. it used to come on sundays at 9 pm .dat time i was in kg1

  • Our objectivity blurs with time and everything associated with past takes a rosy shade.Thats the beauty of life..

  • @58mohit cool yaar...and i remember seeing these episodes both at home and in boarding school.we were allowed to watch tv only on Sundays.Eventhough our Hindi was limited we used to watch for the pyramids and tai mahals in the serial.Anything excess kills the beauty. i find no such wonderment or surprise in this present generation of kids when they see a pyramid or a tajmahal (may be my view might be myopic)thats what i feel.

  • I loved this one so much and was regular for this for many many years... brilliant and informative- Only allowed programs for me was this on weekdays and weekends.. had a larger list...... when restrictions were lifted.. its sad to see very few ( infact almost zero with bits of good ones scattered here and there) exists now.... I really miss those days

  • there was an essence in air those days.why people are so restless today?

i was a child that time and seen people were really relaxed when nobody knows what the hell is a mobile phone is. today we have facebook n all but don't ave real friends.....am i wrong?

  • This puts me to sleep, everytime this played we knew it was time to switch off the TV and sleep.

  • It used to be one of my fav tv show and i used to wait for wednesdays to watch OSHIN

  • When I see it now, I feel how difficult it would have been for them to create such quality animation without flash etc. Truly nostalgic...

  • old days when we didn't have to worry about how bills were going to be paid...

  • @rutvijhshukla Absolutely, old days when india was still better than today. Today's india is dying out because of western influences.

  • And the cities are overpopulated and degraded because of our so called "economic growth" which seems to be only leading the country to a disaster!

  • i really miss all those programmes used to come on doordarshan.

  • oh god i was so small that time....used to see this on our old TV

  • I just realized that the dancer at 0:18 is EXACT Rotoscoping of dance scene in "Bharat Ek Khoj episode 15 (Sangam Period and Sillapadirakam) " about 15 minutes after the start (excluding start credits)... :-D

  • Those days creativity was applied with a indian cultural touch, now a days people are trying to copy western programs like big boss, realty shows which is not indian at all

  • WANTED : A time machine to go back to those magical days when entertainment was not TRP driven as now.

back then i used to be awake with sleepy eyes (it used come on Sunday nights) to watch this show.

i am missing these shows-Chandrakanta ( the tune..) Sindabad the Saiior, Potli baba,Arabian nights, Ramayan, Mahabharah, Sri Krishna, Chanakya, Malgudi days, one serial where one character was a midget( it used to come on Sunday afternoons), one serial where the character had some magic pencil, etc

  • @118hss true we need time machine....but thanks to YOU TUBE too.. atleast we can remind our childhood days.. wtf i got so much emotional...

  • @118hss If my memory serves right, the midget related serial you were talking about was "Stone Boy" I believe. Indeed Man!! I would give anything to go back to those golden days of mid eighties and early nighties. Those were the real days of fun for all those fortunate people who got to spend their childhood.

  • Contd -

Some of the best serials I cherish watching them on DD are "Non -stop Nonsense", Vikram Betaal, Spiderman, Byomkesh Bakshi, Mungerilal ke haseen sapne, Hum Log, Nukkad, Buniyaad, Sports watch, Turning point, Surabhi..

  • Contd-

Tehkeekaat, Gaint Robot, Waghle ki Duniyan, Hum panchi ek daal ke, Detective Karamchand, Mr.Yogi, Aashish, One serial in particular, I cannot recollect its name (The guy has a remote control which helps him teleport to any place!!), Mahabharath etc. I can go on an on..the list never ends :)
