@Am3cA yeeaaah! =D i read on another comment saying it wass to late for a girl of 16 to learn ballet, and i said OMG!! i'm 20!!!! D'=, actually i`m in advanced begginer level =3 and i just love it, may be i won't become a super proffesional big dancer xD, but i just can't stop myself!! i'm completely agree with you! let's dance as long as you can!! =D ^^
@Urik0Chian Of Course!!! Well, I'm Studying Engineering... So I Can't Expect To Be A Famous Dancer, But U Can...!!! All U Have To Do Is Enjoy The Process... Is Beautiful!!! :)
@AndDanielaSays The only thing, if i do get that far, is that I'm afraid that the teacher won't allow me on pointe because I am overweight. Not like extremly, just chubby.
@kikyotwosoul This ballet school I used to go to had this overweight lady dancing on pointes. I don't think weight matters. as long as you're strong enough to carry yourself. With time you'll get that strength. BTW, she was one of the advanced kids. with solos and part of the junior company. Weight is only an issue if you want to go into professional ballet....
@TheKillerCub I have 3 things to say to you: 1. What the hell? She's anything BUT fat! 2. That's just rude to say to anyone, even if they are fat. And 3. She is an awesome dancer, and you don't HAVE to be skinny to be awesome at dance. Chill.
i wont to do ballet but right now its just an in my room dream but first i wont to finish playing violin i have bean working on ballet things in my room :D and its fun
beautiful. i would love to be able to do these. i can of course, but not as strong as her. anyone know any exercises or positions to work on to get italian fouettes?
Balletbunhead1996: I was lucky enough to land a job dancing perfessionally with Colorado Ballet in Denver where i grew up. I'm currently wrapping up my 3rd year with them :)
Putain mais t'es ttrop forte là ..... C'est icroyable ; quelle souplesse puis on voit que ta de la facilité pour le faire , franchment bravo quoi !!!!!!! <3
@iluvpixystix Actually, after looking at the pics on Gail Grant's book, I believe these are correctly called grandes fouettés relevés en tournant - the Italian fouettés do not pass through first position... However, it might just be a terminology difference between the methods...
most teachers go off of age, strength, and ability. you generally have to be about 11 before your muscles mature enough to go on pointe, for strength you have to work up enough muscle strength in your ankles legs and feet to get yourself up and be able to dance safely, as for ability if your still stuck doing the basics you wont have a need for pointe shoes. good luck and if you have any more questions feel free to ask :]
is italin fouette where you stretch your leg up high, then going into putting your feet above the knee? or stretching your leg up high and going into the attitude? <- sorry im not sure if thats the correct term
i think that good co-ordination is really the key to accomplishing this. if you can relevee this many times you have sufficient strength. however you may still not be able to do this .this girl is well co-ordinated and she uses momentum and so she gets around with relative ease. she could do it even better were she to use her turnout she could then sustain each position and give the mvt. more clarity and preciscion watch it and stop frame you will see that she is often very turned in
URGH!!! you frusterate me!!! im doing that variation and i cant even get to 2 fouettes! they are hard, i cant imagine how amazing you do the rest of the variation
I'v been practicing my italian fouettes for a few weeks now and i find it quite tricky sometimes i get it and sometimes i dont, she makes it look easy.Tips anyone.
I second the hip comment-- You looked very much in control, so congrats! But the hip of the leg you are fouette-ing raises up during the kick when it should be kept down. It's the hardest thing in my opinion! Keep working on it :)
its funny that her last name is turner
