Yup. But newer generation of aircraft doesn't require a lots of stops anymore. For example, a Boeing 737 from Washington to Europe only require a stop at US airport then fly straight heading towards Europe.
It is nice to see how this aircraft has been made and other aircrafts knowing how much responsibility and cooperation it takes for these planes to be made and get all of us flying from one place to another safely.

When empty a 737 can make USA to Europe in 2/3 legs. usually stopping in Eastern Canada,Iceland,Scotland or Ireland then onto mainland europe.

Must be rather strange sight waiting at a level crossing and watching the fuselage of a 737 pass by. Maybe not such a strange site in Seattle.
