  • GAA scumbags... that is all

  • louth got theirto "re-matches"and did not succeed :D

  • Why does this team allow it's fans on the field?

  • A camera on the goal line would of solved it all!!!! I went out in coppers the night before that match ,met this YOKE from Carlow told me she won tickets for the match the next day,she asked me to go, I said cool grand.well fuck it!!!!she would not shut the fuck up all the way through the game!!!at the end she goes WHO WON THE GAME???,with all the talking to the everyone around us and burning the ear off me she had not a clue what was going on.!!!!never again.

  • in all fairness ,a ref should never leave tis happen ,people busting there gut all year ,trainin in all weather to win tis ,then a massive decision goes the wrong way and a dummy of an umpire lookin at it ,then to say it was a goal ,TIS SHOULD BE AN ADD FOR SPEC SAVERS LOL

  • typical irish lol

  • funny stuff but meath are cheats

  • MOSH PIT!!!

  • The GAA could easily ensure that "fans" on the pitch would not happen again. Simply make it a criminal offence to trespass on the field of play at any time. This is what is done in the USA - you go on the field - and you go to jail. That said I would not expect anymoe more for inbred Louth scum !!

  • i never liked meath before and know i never will

  • BOOM BOOM BOOOOOM Everybody sayy JOE!!

  • @thebeast2033 exactly big joe!!

  • The GAA really should have forced a replay instead of letting Meath GAA decide whether to have a replay. I am a Meath fan and im saying this

  • meath are cheating scumbags, end of.

  • @MrRonmacon well it was the louth fans fightin d ref ...

  • @neiler2511

Shut the hell up. I don't believe that Meath planned to cheat. I will admit it was a stupid decision but they didn't go out there to make cheats or thugs out of themselves, they did what they had to do to win and i don't think you would have minded if it had gone the other way. So just shut up, things like that happen in Gaelic and you have to learn to deal with it. I'm 13 years old and I can't believe you are as ignorant to think that. I'm from Derry so I'm neutral so just shut up!

  • i wonder if this will happen again when they play in the backdoor

  • the refferee was scared to give the goal in the kildare and meath match in case some kildare or louth fan start attacking him

  • justice done today, kildare f... meath out of leinster, meath county board should now do the right thing and withdraw all teams from competitions for a few years, a casualty of this countys debacle is "banty",his good reputation is gone.Although himself and grimley took advantage to the navan fast food by all accounts!!!

  • Meath certainly planned to cheat..like id say they were in the dressing room saying right lads lets cause some controversy and get ourselves a bad rep

  • ref was a disgrace he never asked umpire a disgrace to the once mighty royals who now have to rely on this crap to win a title sad wee boys where did meath man go

  • muck savages.... of course the GAA are saints.... shower of backward tugs

  • replay

  • cheats

  • they always say is a wonderful game of football when something bad happens

  • what a robbery

  • Louth = REAL LEINSTER CHAMPS 2010

  • louth wont get anywhere this year

  • @Wolfetones15 You neva know?

  • @kingolofofaston How dare you speak such utter rubbish.

  • Funny stuff

  • ur right im a louth fan to

  • i was at that match and am a louth fan he got wath he dserved

  • No more Plan B :(

  • If the Gaa can ban Paul Galvin using a camera how come they didnt do the same with this goal? Unfair how they just choose what they want to see

  • if it was the other way round louth wouldn't offer a replay eithe

  • what a toss pot in the red jersey with the ian rush tash at the tunnel. big brave man shouting down the tunnel!

  • test commnt #3

  • Meath have no shame tut tut tut

But Louth nasty nasty nasty ye destroyed it for fans to enter the pitch cant take ye nowhere

  • 1:17 LOL

    typical mad gaa fans!! LEGEND

  • That was a hilarious day

    come on the royal!!!!

  • good fate my arse

  • scoocer alway fight more than nba nfl nhl mlb usa world need to learn lesson

  • meath don't deserve the leinster championship cmon d wee couunty

  • only a certain amount of louth fans let down their county. louth still deserved the win!

  • meath cheats

  • Typical bog ball playing langers. You have to respect the referees decision. I've been sent of incorrectly in matches (been on the bad side of a decision) but there's no point arguing with a referee. He's not going to change his decision like.

  • There were thousands of Louth fans at this game. But only a handful, (a dozen at most?) of thugs & scumbags attacked the ref. It's not fair to paint all Louth fans in the same light. Regards & commiserations from Wexford

  • @gigoer Them lads were dead fkn right!!

  • @gigoer Now you know exactly how LOI fans especially from Dublin clubs feel,.

  • Imagine what would happen if dublin were in Louths shoes

    And the dission was cat

  • Best team won at the end of the day.

  • @brianoc777 best team? haha you have any knowledge of the game whatsoever? So if famed GAA commentators are saying Louth deserved it what are you talking about? Shows how much knowledge you have you twat! :P

  • up the royal

  • ders a louth fan wif grey hair he is such a legend

  • Up the Dubs tomro!!!!

  • disgusting behaviour, what we come to expect from the welsh

  • @mdbrfc: Welsh? (??????)

  • @mdbrfc its irish u bellend

  • Wow. I hope they get arrested and convicted of assault. And banned form all grounds.

  • welsh animals. i thought rugby fans were better behaved than football ones? is this even rugby? hHAH. animals

  • @Lukeeeeo : Welsh?????

  • @Lukeeeeo Dunce

  • Watching this clip makes me ashamed to be Irish. What further proof is needed that GAA is a sport played by and supported by thugs?

As for the members of the Gardai? Laughable.

  • Every 1 is going on about the goal it were a square ball in the first place a blind man could see it.. and the ref was a discrase he didnt even ask the umpires wat happened he just said put up the flag.. if that happend to my county i would of done the exact same thing.!

  • in fairness one Louth fan went on and tried to protect the ref: u can see him at 0:26 for a bit

  • @underwaterjesuz ha ha u must b jokin this guy had just punched mark ward in the face before this look closely hes wearing a no 13 jersey and is a ref in louth here hav a look at mark ward punched on google or in google images

  • MEATH!!!!

  • And to think GAA used to be a way of uniting Irish people during the English oppression. Nowadays scumbags like these take the whole meaning out of the sport and destroy Irish brotherhood. Its a sad day when people dont even realise this. Animals...

  • fair play to the meath team for not giving the replay. i was at the game myself and ive never seen anything like it, it was a disgrace if the louth fans and players hadnt reacted so badly i would have been all for a replay and i think the team would be too so louth have themselves to blame as well

  • meath leinster champions 2010 up the royal

  • @poppop1100

yeah well done a bit hollow though don't ya think????

  • That was such a useless punch that guy made a real tit of himself

  • Meath were a disgrace, wish someone had done this to the ref after the Henry match!

  • ref deserved a smack

  • @seamushan HOW Its umpier's fault ( and im a meath man )

  • @Kitsheen ur so rite!!!!

  • coming from a very big gaa background i have to say i was disgusted with the scenes from the so called louth fans. as a proud meath man id not go to another game this year if my loyal royals did that. abu an mhi-slats

  • meath winners of leinster 2010

  • That guy in the red polo cant throw a dig hahah

  • The most important question is ... who is the pretty Louth supporter with her hands on her head at 1:43 on the clip.

  • Why was no one arrested ? If that happened in any other country the fans would have been arrested. They have it on Video.. these guys should be arrested. the is no excuse for that regardless of the result or how it came about. This has been going on at GAA matches for 20 years but usually at low profile club games ,, its finallly happened at a big game. Time to stamp it out,

  • up meath

  • no gaa man or woman should hang their head in shame winners or losers all them players done their best its the thugs that ran on should

  • only reason im watching this is to see meath fan and louth fans bad mouth each other in the comments XD but common its only a flippen match

  • The meath players should throw there medals in the bin because there worth nothing, even though it wasnt there fault the ref messed up they should have done the right thing and agreed to replay they game there isnt a man among them, at least henry came out and said ireland deserved a replay . They knew louth were the better team and they wouldnt beat them in the replay. At the end of the day it wont matter the ll b well beaten when they meet one of the top teams.Hang yere heads in shame.

  • @sconer44 I think you mean THEIR medals,,, ot THERE ,,, ;-)

  • meath won cant replay every time a bad decision is made or all the games would be replayed all the times meath had bad calls againt them and we got on with it like real men louth its over now get on with it

  • My heart goes out to Louth, its a disgrace that this is aloud to stand, you've always stood by Down in the past, now Down stands by Louth.

  • Tobacco: Following teenagers like the plague follows a rat!

  • @Leghorn95 irish people mainly.....

  • The players met and decided not to grant a replay. they are worse than the ref, who made a wild, unthinkable call. They decided they were happy with the win and to hell with how they got it. I grew up in the meath glory days, and even now I remember and respect o rourke, gillick, coyle, lyons, o connell, men who could play, not just with skill, they were a hard team that took no shit from anyone. Meath gaa has gone way down in my estimation since last sunday. P.s. I'm not from louth.

  • @MrPackie55 Im not from Louth either and I think the Meath players were right. The game is over, the refs call is final ... thats sport thats life. Move on

  • And also the ref wasn't even hurt. Did he fall to the ground, was he bleeding? NO! They tryed but no one actully hit him. So y'all need to get over it this is what happens nowadays. And if the situation was reversed and it was your county would you still be saying that.

  • Some people think that the Louth team can actully control their supporters. It's not the teams fault that supporters done that. They can't control who supports them. And yea they were in the wrong but sure so was the ref. So stop letting the supporters who ran onto the pitch reflect on the team. Louth was robbed of that win. And I hope Meath are proud that they they won that unfairly. And that they don't deserve that cup.

  • The GAA are the big joke here. No consistancy with rules, every weekend we see players being booked for certain fouls, the following week the same fouls can be commited and nothing happens. They just make it up as they go along. I think Louth were robbed but they should of wrapped it up long before the final whistle.

  • the little runts

  • Are ye on Facebook? look up this page..... Thank you Ref from Meath.... We're sorry Louth.. hahaha Only Messing and like the page

  • Whatever the actual result, the game should have been awarded to Meath due to the thuggish behaviour of those non-humans who tried to physically harm the referee. Then, for reasons of sportsmanship, Meath should have ASKED for a replay. Both counties have reasons to be ashamed.

  • this is thugish its wrong

  • Louth got EXACTLY what they deserverd out of this game. It's called KARMA.

The Louth fans were a disgrace throughout the match with their constant booing everytime Meath got a free.If Judge hadn't got himself (stupidly) sent off and Rooney hadn't kicked the ball away twice in added time the whistle would have gone for full time and there would have been no famous Meath comeback.

There is too much sentimental 50yr bullshit, they didn't know how to close out the game and suffered as a result-TOUGH.

  • paul galvin will prob get banned for this as well

  • @johnosheaspubes nah, he already got banned for fish -hooking an opponent, justice wouldnt you agree???

  • @johnosheaspubes haha they'll find some footage.................. SOMEWHERE

  • I understand that the Meath footballers have vetoed a replay. I don't blame them , because they will loose their championship medals, the cowards. They are not imbued with the higher mores of sport or honour. Bad luck to them and their county now and until after the last remaining player departs this world, may they have no luck, and win no more!!

  • move on Louth, if meath want that victory by cheating let them have it. Do you not remember how they knelt on Peter Canavans head in the 90's. Louth are the real Leinster champions. Meath flopped in the last 2 All Ireland semi finals so every body will have a great laugh when it happens again. Keep going Louth, win the All Ireland. Always remember you cant cure thickness. Have we not seen similar bigoted behaviour before with the unionists in Northern ireland.

  • if u are on Twitter, PLEASE follow @WeLoveYouCheryl to show our Cheryl support :) Kimberly from GA knows about it :) We're really close to 500 followers and want all of Chezza's fans to follow :) Do it for Cheryl please :) She deserves it xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • im from meath offer them a replay no way meath will play that bad again theyll destroy them no point givin them false hope

  • whats the big deal anyway .. stupid gaa.. stick it up your hole

  • @bizzjoe wtf are u lookin at the vid anyway

would u not care if the team u soported were robbed

  • @bizzjoe how do you people make enough on the dole to afford laptops??? back in your box simpleton

  • Louth should be barred fron future championships due to the beavaiour of their sipporters. No other country or organisation in the world would not discipline a team whose supporters are thugs. Lets hope they are prosecuted afterwards

  • @muppett55

you are a puree muppet. that is possibly the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard in my life. your a tool boy, dont be so stupid again

  • i was at the match sitting right behind the louth goal{front row} so i saw it better than anybody

  • where was the ref from?

  • tyrone.

  • It was a sprite bottle.. get up u compensation seeking pup

  • @mrfloppyjoe if ur talking about the bottle that hit the linesman it was actualy a water battle

  • The goal should be striken from the record and Louth should be winners. The GAA are cowards

  • If the ball is supposed to be kicked in, and it wasn't - then it should never have been allowed. They (the ref and his minions) were obviously pro Meath. The underdog gets stepped on again!

  • Scum bags

  • the players didnt cheat, the ref called it!

  • hope the ref got home safely but i wonder what his kids if he has any will think of him for what he did

  • @lioncircleantilope They'll probably think he did the best job he could and that the people who attacked him are arse bandits.

  • louth should have been well ahead. they should taken a few more points. they were one on one twice in the first half and missed. was that the ref too.

  • Meath can celebrate all they want but they know that victory is hollow, it's worthless. Why would the players even want a winners medal when they know they truly lost.

Meath should be sporting enough to offer Louth a replay.

  • NO REPLAY. U don't reward sum1 for spittin the dummy. Its disgusting what they done. Get a hold of this type of behaviour now GAA or stop bookmakers taking bets for matches. Have a sneaky feeling this has a lot more to do wit it than the "passion for ur county" which makes it even more pathetic.

  • NO REPLAY. U don't reward sum1 for spittin the dummy. Its disgusting what they done. Get a hold of this type of behaviour now GAA or STOP bookmakers taking bets for matches. • Louth played brilliant , they trained hard all year and deserved to win against the boys who beat dublin so good, It's a disgrace why is it up to the Meath Counet board to decide a replay?! It should be the GAA who decide these stuff, they never upholded the fkn rules and regualtions

  • TBH I think your raising this too far, all it was is a Shoulder and a knock, Yes I know they should have come after him but he had it coming to him it was daylight robbery

  • I know that people were angry, I know that people hold great pride in the game, but this incident is disgraceful and appalling! Yes the referee made a mistake, but he does not deserve to be attacked by a crowd of ignorant spectators! Every rule has been carefully followed- the referee's decision is final! The GAA needs to embrace modern technology to try and hold some respect to gaelic football!

  • Delighted, its about time that Amatuer organisation got their acts together... If those lads even got over the boards never mind near a ref in any other sport in the world they would be fined, locked up and banned for life....

  • did that kid wearing the louth jersey get hit by dat fella wit the can of beer or was he lost???

  • this looks awful. cant say i follow the game, but the fans behaviour is disgraceful.

on a side note, it's would HAVE, not of :)

  • poor ref-though i liked the fighting

  • hi guys thats disgraceful for the crook park authorities what a bad behaiviour with refree he is neuteral he has nothing to do with either team he is just a referee

  • the ref need to get out of there before some ripped his mustache off

  • that is absolutely disgraceful. fans shouldnt be allowed on the pitch at all. Ref should sue the GAA

  • the players of louth deserve a rematch. the fans dont deserve to watch the rematch.

  • totally stupid ref ....this happen in many sports that ref just failed.....all the time same fans are pissed off .....and ref is like "dead man walks" running away with gardai :D .

Irish fans like this game and they are too friendly when something similar happen in europe ,you should see how many of police mans needed to take action against fans ,because they are ready to kill the ref....and just two gardai officers thats a joke :P

  • @pinkwelly1994 hitting s

  • if that was dublin, the team would be banned from competitions next year

  • Well they don't deserve a replay after those disgraceful scenes. Who wants Leinster champions with such thugs for fans? The only thing worse would've been Dublin winning it again...

  • @Kelbert88 shut yer mouth you obviously havent seen the outrageous scenes at connolly station meath fans trowing bottles at woman and children and second of all you dont know what its like to not have won a leinster in 53 years and to be cheated out of it so just look at it as a dedicated louth man perspective before you say anything stupid

  • Respect to the Louth players and manager who tried to protect the ref from being attacked even do they must of felt so much anger at him!!

  • sod-busters!!!!

  • Louth Idiots

  • Louth V Meath 11/07/2010: End of match scenes

  • take a look at what is going to GAA games these days and how wasted they are,, decisions aside the only difference with this is that RTE caught it on video, it goes on between fans after every Intercounty game...completely covered up always, if it was an FAI game we'd never hear the end of it.

  • @gearyj01 no one would hear about it at an fai game because the attendances equal one man and his dog....

  • Haha. Laugh out Louth, these thugs should have been arrested by the Garda.

  • @INVERTEDSHAMROCK if hittin sumone is against the law then so is robery !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • Louth typical nordys

  • @JEDIDEE1 Check Yhur Atlas !>:P

  • Be fair to the ref,it was the umpire who called it wrong

  • @macker33 no it wasn't- the ref made him put the flag up

  • if this is what happens as a result of the referee's mistake, why dont they allow TV replays? it works in rugby, and that could surely stop shit like this from happening... was that child after being hit at 2:49?

  • @FuppinBaxtard

Looks like he was hurt somehow .... coulda just been the crush of thugs getting by him though. I sympathise with Louth; but there is no need for this either.

  • Say it proud and say it Louth...WE WERE ROBBED!!!

  • ha ha

  • well like we've seen at the world cup these things happen in sport but i do think the ref was stupid not to get the umpire's view but still that was disgraceful from louth fans!

  • If they can suspend a player after viewing footage after a game they can replay a game after viewing a goal that was illegal. What about the ref been suspended. I can understand him making a mistake but running down to the umpire and telling him to raise his flag to signal the goal was arrogance and stupidy. Why didn't he listening to what the umpire had to say since the ref obviously didn't see the player throwing the ball over the line.

  • that is a disgrace 2 ireland:(i was angry dat louth lost even though im from monaghan

it was the umpires fault if i was charging at some1 it would be him

  • I'm annoyed at people saying the Gardaí should have done more, there was 2 of them and about 6 fans that abused the ref, Gards are human too, they aren't a bunch of walking brick walls...this all boils down to the GAA, it's their fault for not letting the referee consult the video playback, why do they even play it back? just to fuel the anger of fans? If they play it back at all they should allow the ref the 2 seconds to reconsider his decision.

  • The referee was totally to blame he made loads os mistakes during the game. Louth were the better team on the day but Meath didnt deserve to lose it either!

I was sitting in the cusack stand yesterday and i saw people pegging bottles down at officials and the referee as he made his wAy out..

You cant please everyone and those people should be ashamed of themselves..

I agree the ref made mistakes but he is only human...

  • not good enough that a ref be abused like that,I dont care who won or lost, that kind of behaviour is totally totally unacceptable! shame on the gaa, shame on our national game.

  • am a louth fan but that was ownly stupied drunking fans coming on to the fleid hitting the ref. Looked at the news paper meath saying no 2

replay there 2 scare 2 play louth again cause they know right they where

out played by louth. come on the wee county for a replay

  • I blame the umpire! He was standing right beside it and in fairness the ref can't see everything. He checked with the umpire!

  • @MsCam85 the ref told the umpire to wave de flag, de umpire had no say in de matter

  • @MsCam85

the referee just told the umpire to wave the flag the ref didnt ask for his opinion or what he saw! the ref had already made his decision

  • No matter what your stance on the ref's decisions, that sort of violence is disgusting and an outrage. The people that were involved and that support those actions are not true sportsmen. It shows a lack of intelligence and a lack of morality. I would like all the ignorant louts that think this is acceptable over a game to picture their father, or son being that ref as they watch this.

Any recourse they could have had is now moot over these idiot "fans".

  • feel so sorry for louth :(

  • Louth should at least get a replay
