  • wow. this completely blew my mind.

I bet everyday Dweezil must be telling himself how awesome his dad is.

  • Awsome !

  • Don't forget to check out the orchestral version with the La La Human Steps Dancers...Available here on Youtube!

  • thanks don

  • Nice i thought this was from Jazz from Hell recorded on Synclav . It's cool to hear electric guitars play it

  • I just noticed that he has his father's hands. I really enjoyed this! Thanks, and---could you please post more?

    L:D

  • This song got me to stop trying to play arpeggio sweeps as fast as possible and focus more on melody and originality. I just won a lawsuit era SG on ebay... My goal is to learn this.

  • You can tell they're related, lol. The guitar posture is very similar.

  • Pecking, as opposed to picking. I heard Dweezil on an interview play two styles, his and Franks, to which he said Franks style was more like a chicken pecking at the strings. An to whoever put this up, Thank You.

  • Probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen or heard Dweezil perform. This guy has been doing his homework!

  • i like that dweezil is abble to translate a piece of music from an instrument to another instrument, it's seem easy, but its very difficult, and from this camera angle you can perfectly see the penis of dweezil, its awesome

  • LOL !!!

  • I'm sure its already been said, but for a piece that wasn't even written for guitar, dweezil does an awesome job. He spent enough time preparing for ZPZ that he knew what he was doing... He's an a fantastic guitarist, and I can't wait for his return to Seattle!!

  • @fusionconfusion Originally done on the synclavier on the Jazz From Hell album.

  • Frank never even played G spot on guitar; Dweezil plays parts on guitar that were not even written for the instrument and plays the songs better than anyone else does.

  • Only heard two people do that in my life, the first is Steve Vai and dweezil has to be the other one ;)

  • saw them live, amazing show.

    amazing song

  • actually just saying as i just noticed neither zappa or dweezil use an sg all the time. they also use strats. also live rock music always sounds rough when recorded unless it is mixed afterward. dweezil is playing this piece really well, i think he is really good player actually. i was sceptical at first but he is an awesome guitarist.

  • LOL @ the guy who "didn't think of zappa as an SG man", he played an SG like 95% of the time, where ya been?

  • in my room listing to zappa thinking; why does that guys guitar sound like a dog?

  • Arf!

  • I cant even believe people are having a problem with the SG? Who gives a shit? Everyone plays the guitar that feels and sounds the way they like, the way they express. If you dont like it dont play one, and then see if you can compose something like G-Spot Tornado.

  • he's alright but why the hell does he play an SG? i mean what the hell poseses anyone to play an SG?

  • That`s the guitar Zappa used for a large part of his career

  • oh right. why? Sgs are terrible. i really didn't think of zappa as an sg man. strange. i thought he'd play a tele or strat type thing

  • he played an sg throughout the 70's, although the one in baby snakes is actually not a gibson. in the 80's though he did finally play strats.

  • I think it is Franks, and that's a nice touch by Dweezil. I just saw the first gig in Australia - simply amazing - and Dweez switched from that to a strat, a telecaster and even played Ray Whites mystery custom for a while.

  • what's wrong with SGs?

  • they sound like shit, play like shit,

  • naaa there are plenty worse... zappa chose to play one ergo they must be good :)

  • no seriously they suck ass. zappa is god and all but i really do think he would sound so much better playing a decent guitar. i do teach guitar aswell by the way i'm not saying this irationally.

  • Yeah, I never liked shape or sound of the SG. But FZ used it from like 1968-1982. It sounds totally unforgiving

  • Ik denk dat ik of precies of een en paar mensen naast je stond. Heeft Dweezil je uberhaupt wel gezien toen je aan het filmen was?

  • WOW DANK JE!!!!

  • Brilliant rendering. Glad I was there!

  • Beter en spectaculaider kan niet!

    Mooi!

    Tnxs for sharing.

  • Whoo... Geweldig gespeeld...

  • Potdomme! Da's wel erg goed!
