your pups are cute, but man, get them some better dog food, don't use tap water, and get some angels' eyes. that's some of the worst tear staining i've seen on a maltese.

She is Maltese. She doesn't have any injury or abusement. I cut her hair which make her legs look not match. You know it's hard to cut the hair when she moves.

Yes, my dogs have the nylon bones too. It's hard to stop them to chew and swallow them so you just buy the ones which really hard to chew.

nylon bones are very dangerous.

i don't give my maltese(s) any kind of " bones " anymore after my vet's warning.

it is not worth it should they swallow any fiber which stick or poke the stomach which will require surgery.

Tearing is always a medically based issue, with environment, owners care and genetics all playing a part in the mix.

None tear stain removers products are working. Just try to Keep your dogs clean with their hair out their faces. Using filtered or distilled water.

There are breeders who have many litters with the eye staining. My maltese has very little staining, if any. I use baking soda mixed with water and rub into the wet hair then I pour hydrogen peroxide very carefully onto it and let it sit a few minutes. Seems to help. My neighbor tried the distilled water. Didn't do much. Since I've been bathing his dog too, I do the same thing with her staining and it helps also.

cute! yeah, I have a maltipoo too and she is hilarious. I have a question. My dog sticks her back feet out when she is lying on the ground so she is flat. I even taught her to do it on command (it's kinda weird) does yours do that?
