For those of you who are wondering. The Chi's gain is based on usage. The more you use it, the faster it asserts its dominance over your appearance.

Notice how the powers take in instantly for Drago. It's because he is based on evil Chi and is using the right off the bat, which changes him right there.

Jade and Jackie are humans so they didn't change instantly. For Jade, she withheld it so she changed slower than Jackie who used it the moment he acquired them.

@FireStormBaller I meant change completely. Only drago has chnaged instantly everyone else changes gradually. Like In this episode jackie stayed human for a little bit then he turned red with tiny horns then turned full demon. So the panda may have not changed because animals may take even longer or perhaps he did changed but his fur covered it like his skin if the demon chi had changed the pandas skin you wouldn't know. The only thing you did see was his Tongue.
