These pumps r like cav/rotodiesel pumps, they r a stanadyne pump or copy I believe, u take a cover off side and turn screw in half a turn or more, really gives them more power, but I suppose u stand a chance of damaging it if u arent sure about it, be good if u could get another spare pump to look at first.
Look the pumps up on the internet, extra fuel makes loads of extra power but these engines have weaknesses linked to head gasket failure I believe, a 6.2gmc diesel would be better.
soem reading and knowing a few people the head gaskets are just fine not like the 5.7's. i know a guy that has his boosted and he just added roller rockers
I believ the fwd 4.3 had alloy heads and cast iron block and the 4.3 rwd had iron heads and block which were more reliable, they also made a v8 4.3 diesel aswell as a 4.3 v6!

Thanks, I haven't touched the pump, It was brand new when I got it so /i guess you could turn it up but then maybe it might go Bang!!

oh sorry i link here though the 4.3 which is rater reliable.
if the main caps are drill out and the block tapped deeper for big bolts, along with an ARP head stud kit the 5.7 becomes very strong.

yep hit the nail on the head. the alloy heads work great under boost as there are enough head bolts. and the cast heads weight 56 pounds each (ouch)

when automatics wheelspin does the transmission change up gears, then u get grip, then it changes down againe and repeat over and over again?
Only ever driven an automatic once, for a short distance.
