Pretty smart... run a Libertarian as a Republican. I have been a libertarian for 20 years and have not seen nearly this much enthusiasm for freedom and "hands off government" before. Really cool!

Madvz...The old labels are breaking down. Paul calls himself a constitutional, conservative Republican. But, his views are similar to those represented by the Founding Fathers which express what might be called a "Classical Liberal" philosophy. For more info, go to:

Its the Central Banking system which created corporatism and subsidies to already powerful multi-N-Corps, that keeps people as employees, this prevents people starting their own firms, it means fewer kinds of products and no competition for bloated MNC which use their economies of scale to dominate markets. We can all be players, Ron Paul will be the ref that let us have a kick at the ball, rather than having one player hogging it!

This is one of Dr. Paul's most passionate speeches of the campaign. He rises to a crescendo in this last part of the speech. Here the public can see the strength of Dr. Paul's character and leadership.

Dr. Paul on the Neocon argument regarding foreign policy:  "We're over in the Middle East because we want to democratize them and we want to spread our goodness through force." (Laughter)

Dr. Paul asserts that we have to set a good example. "You can't force your neighbors to behave like you think they should. And, you can't force the economy to be fair and equal, because you end up with socialism and it doesn't work. And you can't force other people to live the way we think they should....I am so convinced that the cause of liberty can solve so many of our problems....The free market is humanitarian. It is the government force that is inhumane."

Dr. Paul speaks of not wanting to interfere in personal habits, e.g., regulating the Internet. He says that it is not a matter of endorsing good habits or bad habits; it's not a matter of whether he or we approve of everything on the Internet or on television for that matter. "We endorse freedom," he asserts unashamedly. [Deafening applause and cheers.] "I believe in natural rights. I believe in God-given rights. I don't believe any rights come to us from our government."

LET FREEDOM RING! What a quaint idea. But, like a painted-over antique stripped of all of the layers of old paint, something of great value is discovered when we look beneath the surface. Dr. Ron Paul is stripping the old paint from the heavy, weighted down Republic that we collectively have become.
