  • @DoggyPoopsalot Cesar has said there are dogs he couldn't rehabilitate, yet he exhausts EVERY possible resource before he would ever recommend an animal be put to sleep. The reason he couldn't rehabilitate the dog was due to Neurological damage, which is understandable. BUT this Victoria woman hasn't even recommended they get him checked or offered any further assistance. She just takes tells them to put him down. Makes me sick.

  • The owners called me because the dog had attacked the owner, and gone after their 5 year old son. Initially I thought the owners weren't controlling their kids, etc. However, after she went for the 2 year old in my presence with muzzle on(their's not mine) I made the call to take her in because I believed she could be rehabilitated and re-homed. However, another behaviorist, and vet confirmed that was not possible due to her neuro issue caused by an old brain injury from blunt trauma (abuse).

  • People... If you've never dealt with a dog with neuro. issues then don't speak. I've worked with 1 in my career. I took her into my home/pack, had other trainers/vets evaluate her with a clear diagnosis of neuro issues (caused by a brain injury and skull fracture), and in the end she had to be pts. She was a 200 lb Anatolian mix. I cried for days, and was the one who took her and stayed with her while she slipped away because I truly loved her. Hardest thing I've ever done. Please don't judge.

  • @DogsTrainEmUpRight Yes but was the dog in this video even assessed to see if there was neurological damage before being put down? Did Victoria take it home and see if she could work with it further? NO. She tells them (over the phone, I add) to put the dog down. You all bash Cesar for being dominant and using corrections and preach about positive reinforcement, yet you are okay with some trainer telling people to put their dog down without even attempting to find out why the attack happened!

  • @CocasPromise First of all, I have never bashed Cesar, Second, I am a "balanced trainer" that is more concerned about doing what works for the dog. I do not agree with the way she handled this situation, and hope she learns from her mistakes. I can safely say that a dog with a neuro. issue is completely different than a dog with simple behavior issues, and if you've ever worked with one...you never forget. She should have done more, and if incapable...passed the dog on to someone who could.

  • Hard decision you say Victoria - my arse!!! you almost relished sending that poor man to the vet and showed him going in with a perfectly healthy animal that he clearly loved and watching him see his pet put down and then coming out with a dead body and you let that not only be filmed and then shown in all it's graphic detail you are a heartless bitch and that's the only thing you have in common with dogs. Change you job or go and train with Cesar Milan!!!

  • Wow this is so sadd

  • This is ridiculous.. They should have called in Cesar Millan, he NEVER gives up on a dog..

  • Stilwell... Admit that you're plain crap and don't say that putting a dog down is the only thing to do.

  • Comment removed

  • This is why I still love Cesar Millan despite of the numerous criticism he receives. These critics give bad alternatives like Victoria Stilwell. She doesn't believe in giving dogs second chances and would give up on a dog. I have never seen an episode of Dog Whisperer where Cesar gives up on a dog. Not once.

  • This is why Victoria Stilwell sucks. She just gives up. Long live Cesar Millan, he should have had this case!

  • Benji SHOULDNT have been put down, he is a dog and dogs dont understand that biting is wrong, they should have rehomed him. a healthy dog should never be put down or given up on, this made me cry so much :'(

  • i just watched it and i cried so much... but Benji could have killed Rachel and if he was rehomes, he could randomly attach someone else, i think it was the right decision even if you think Victoria was wrong, if i had that dog i dont think there would be any other way.

  • There is no such thing as a dog that is "too damaged" as some people are saying. Humans need to learn to accept that they are doing something wrong and not properly fulfilling the needs of their dogs. Many owners only think about what they want in a dog and don't stop to think about what their dog might need in a human in order to be happy. Too often, training today focuses only on trying to get dogs to understand us and lacks in teaching humans to understand their dogs.

  • wow i cant believe what she is sayin ... and she thinks shes good...lol i puke at her

  • well for the so call "positive reinforcement " trainer they just can't accept that every training involve "correction" and when they can't handle the dog the just use the simple solution , as well as the ultimate correction " the dog have to be put down"

when there are method different then their method, they just say that "their way is not civilize and cruel" they are the cruelest of them all, saying that the dog that out of their training method need to be put down

  • @elydeeva 2. This is after her saying in the first season opening titles of her show, that no dog can't be trained. It should also be noted that this episode is not listed in her website's episode guide. Apart from a forum post, there's nothing mentioning it at all. The woman is a joke!

  • @elydeeva 1. Do you mean the statement she released not long after the episode first aired? She said the dog was given a clean bill of health by the vet, but surely that contradicts her utterance of the dog possibly having some kind of neurological disorder. She also said in the statement that dogs who have a propensity to bite and attack, cannot be trusted not to do so again.

  • Victoria is a quiter she's just one more dog trainer with a bunch of treats to seduce the dog that's all just one more but cesar goes through the dog brains and work from there to resolve the problem that dog whas not aggressive maybe is not a stable dog but if it was aggressive it will bite his owner too

  • Watch Cesar COMPLETELY rehab a red zone Rottweiler who bit many humans and was going to be put down the next day (much worse than the dog this fraud Victoria has KILLED).

Rehabbed him to the point where Cesar gave the dog to his own son!

Dog Whisperer Season 6 Episode 10 (just google this and you can probably watch it online)

  • The dog mauled a defenseless child... It would be irresponsible to re-home him. :(

  • Hija de 1000001200302 putas antes de matar a un coker porque si fuese un DOberman balla y pase pero a un coker es vergonsoso.

  • @matias8506 POR FAVOR! CUANTA IGNORANCIA NENE!!! QUE TIENE QUE VER LA RAZA DEL ANIMAL!!! PELOTUDO! vergonZoso es lo que decis... ESPERO Q LO PIENSES BIEN Y TE RETRACTES

  • Why didn't they call Caesar Millan???? It just makes me mad, how can Victoria even call herself a dog trainer? I agree with Nattie Christopher. I hope Benji is in a better place RIP.

  • @october3461 it was the fault of the trainer that trained him before victoria, she did the best any trainer could do. the dog was too damaged.

  • @georgiabeastx the problem was victoria should have corrected the error of the previous trainor, therefore victoria is not effective on red zone cases like ceasar is.

  • I train with a specialization in aggression cases. There is a thing called Cocker rage, and I've seen it first hand. The rage is usually attributed to seizures, and I believe the problem with this case is that it wasn't discovered soon enough to pursue medication treatments, and the family were not equipped to deal with the problems. It is sad, but a reality that many people who are not experienced trainers who deal with this all the time don't understand.

  • Wrong decision. This Victoria person should be stripped of her right to offer advice on to dog owners. "This dog has mauled and he'll do it again and again and again" and the vet also agrees!! Wrong advice!! When you bring a dog into your home you accept a unwritten contract to raise and care for the dog to the best of your ability. You also accept that you will give the dog the very best training and requirements (exercise, discipline) possible. Sad and unnecessary!! Victoria - change jobs!!

  • cesar millan never give up on a dog... victoria you suck fuckin whore...

  • 3. The only reason Benjy is dead is because Victoria was too damned arrogant to admit she had failed and to call in an actual behaviourist.

  • @NattieChristopher she is the best behaviourist in the world, this is a prime example of why positive training is the way to train your dog not punishment training.

  • @georgiabeastx this is what 'positive training' did to the dog, it got him killed. Cesar wouldnt have never given up hope on this dog. I am not saying to 'punsih' the dog, Victoria just didnt instill 'discipline' from the get go and so I believe, she can not handle red zone cases like Cesar can. I mean, she's good and all, but I believe cesar is the best out there.

  • @TheHazelh0814 the thing is if you watch the whole episode, you iwll seee the training had nothing to do with why he got put down. the dog mauled the 6 year old for no reason. that is why the dog got put down, because the if you try and deal with it the chance of the dog doing it again will get higher. once a dog maules once it will do it again and again.

  • @georgiabeastx She is NOT the best behaviourist in the world. Or else she wouldn't have had Benji put down. Victoria is no doubt the 'trainer' who was sued by Channel 4. The reason? Fraud! She led the broadcaster to believe she was an actual trainer, but the reality was that she had no qualifications whatsoever. Search YouTube for: "Robert Alleyne - Puppy classes and dog experts" When speaking about the court case, just about every finger points to Victoria. Care to elaborate?

  • I thought this woman understand that recommended to the owners of a dog slaughter. From here I ask her for heartless not have to do something like that again. No one should do and less of a program that is supposed to help them. I fail to imagine a situation in which a dog should be euthanized. From here I wish to Victoria to repent and learn, that I firmly believe that any dog can help in any way without killing him. From Spain, as a lover and caretaker of dogs. Ruben.

  • 2. Like how this 'wonderful' trainer failed to give the family proper advice regarding dogs and how to read them properly. She did NOT tell them that children and dogs must NEVER be left unsupervised (the third attack happened when the children and dog were ALONE together). It should also be noted that the mother can be heard addressing the dogs in an angry tone of voice. Victoria never questioned or disagreed with this. You should NEVER be angry with your dogs.

  • 1. I have just realised that there is another inconsistency with what was said during the episode and what Victoria wrote in her statement. The announcer stated the dog had been placed with friends after the third attack, but the statement said that Benjy had been staying with his groomer. This along with Victoria acknowledging there was nothing medically wrong with Benjy in her statement, but saying he must have a neurological disorder at the end of the show. Too many things don't add-up.
