If I remember right, this song was origionaly done for a short-lived show on tv produced by steven spielberg called "Amazing adventures" or something like that. Don't quote me on that though, look it up for yourself...

I hate it how they thought that this song was a joke at the beginning! It really is a good song. Too many people tie it to the NBC program but if you just listen to it you can here how it ties to much more than that stupid news program.

Well, before they started playing, John Williams said that they were going to play this song since we were all missing the evening news that night. He didn't mention what song they were going to play, so that's why people were laughing when the song started.
