There are these things you can buy (can't remember what they are called) where you press down a pedal whilst you play and when you let go it loops it, and there a several pedals for each section of the song. I.e. you can loop drums, and then keyboard etc.

Is anyone familiar with both the Korg KP2 and the Korg Kaossilator? Do they have different functions and uses or are they just versions of the same position of equipment?

firstly the kp2 is the old version of the new kp3 but they do basically the same job-the kp3 is an effects and sampler generator where as the kaossilator is basically a small touch screen synthesizer so the noises made by the kaossilator can be processed through the kp3 to put an effect on that sound

I got the KP2 it's got 100 effects with different parameters and a sampling function. Kaossilator functions more as a synth, where the XY pad changed the pitch and you can tap out melodies.
