The egeneer says engine 2 is on entry-level models. I have 32xbr9 and it has engine 2, while all other xbr9 have engine 3. Is it because 32xbr9 has smaller screen and therefore there is no need for engine 3? Can anyone explaine the discrimination of 32 inch version of an xbr9 range?
funny they are selling the bx300 for the same price as the bx320 even though the bx320 is BE3 and the bx300 is the BE2, and for but in the sony store itself they are not, I wanted the EX308 which was cheaper than the bx320 and uses the same engine but i can't find it
LED TVs are LCDs with LED backlighting, no it does not improve Picture quality but slightly improves the Native Color Scale. So don't be fooled. Those with better PQs just have a better graphic engine.
@neogaiden THANKyou for clearing that up for me ....wanted to buy a lg42led 120hz but ive noticed the sony had better reviews and said the picture was better on the 40bx420 so this is what im going for with bravia 3 engine
well not really when i connect my old sd game consoles to my new bravia engine 3 led tv,all i see is garbed,but when i watch regular tv channels they look reasoneble great,only my gamecube and wii looks great when even using composite video cables or rgb.
note those old game consoles just looks great on my old tv.
i want to try the hqv and faroudja chip if i have the chance.

@ramashkagromik it's because you didn't pay Sony enough. that's literally the only reason, sorry about the cyynicalism.

@mrjeovanni45 image processor
DopeLem 10 months ago
@mrjeovanni45 The image processor determines the amount of hz.

@melkegrls No. It determines whether X Hz is being output by the GFX engine.
@mrjeovanni45 Neither are very important.
