The blood ravens are my favorite chapter and i would really like to know for sure what the chapters origins are.

Some say that they originated from the Thousand Sons traitor leagion anybody got any idea?

@Rollan319 so if i go buy the novels on warhammer 40000 they say that the medieval age never existed..they just all magically appeared at 40000..it's a miracle!!! prove me that they don't have anything to do with each other and i'll admit my mistake! it's like if you make a Lord of the Rings 40000...but no it has nothing to do with the normal novel...it's just coinsidence we have sauron 40000 and orks 40000 but nothing to do with the normal sauron or orks....prove me wrong and i'll admit it!!!

@Rollan319 then it's all a coinsidense that chaos gods are nurgle and khorne in both that we have human fighting against chaos and orks for survival in both...that chaos champions become demons in both....that they mention that mankind was on a single planet before it started spreading to explore...sry m8 you may not see the connection but it's too many coinsidense for me :P + the name is the same...warhammer in both..only the one is 40000 since thats the time the story takes place :P

@Rollan319 the medieval is the begining of the story -.- warhammer 40.000 is 40.000 years later -.- it's same story same gods (khorne/nurgle)....and if you ever heard the story it says... after men started exploring the universe and conquering for their emperor their great enemies followed them (orks/chaos) sry to break it to you but apparently..it's the same story :P

And btw....anyone knows what happened on Cyrene? -.- we always hear about it and noone ever dares to say the story..i imagine a big treason from space marines turning chaos..maybe from the blood ravens...and since they don't know anything about their past before the civil war when many space marines turned to fight the emperor and became chaos i guess that chaos created a new order of space marines or something and that's how blood ravens were created..and that's why many of them turn traitor :(

Apparently Gabriel returned to Cyrene to run the blood trials one time and found chaos had taken root on the planet. After some fighting they just called in an exterminatus. Besides the games there is a Dawn of War Omnibus which are 3 collected books on the blood ravens. It actually helps explain some of the events in DoW 2. There are also a few hints to their origins.

lol...if i remember correctly we never saw cyrene -.- DoW(the first) was on tartarus -.- and angelos never spoke of cyrene....but this is DoW2 and it's on aurelia system..so i guess this is a different demon...as you can imagine when a demon lord dies there will be another to take his place...if you have seen warhammer(40.000 years ago in medieval) since then when the 1st demon lord died at kislev you take another champion(Thorgar the blooded one) to become demon in the end at his place!
