  • My colour for Prince Caspian is green lol

  • Do you think the video this video is a response too, at 8 seconds....wait i said that wrong.

Ok, during that vid at 8 seconds do you think that those two younger kids might be the kids that edmund and peter fight with? They probaly aren't but i was wondering if you had any thoughts on that relationship. I don't think it's very cool. I mean you can't really have them fighting some kid....o_0

  • Dawn Treader is my favorite book too:) I'm really praying that Michael Apted does a good job with the adaptation and doesn't take so many "degrading" bunny trails away from the storyline. He did a fantastic job with "Amazing Grace"...I'm hoping he'll do the same with "Treader".

  • I hope so too! New director = new chance for Narnia?

  • That's really interesting you think of orange as the PC colour, I just thought about that and realised I think of green - the cover of my first PC book! Hey and thanks for mentioning my report. I think from what Howard said, there's going to be a few creatures - which I'm glad about. But I agree, I hope there are more humans. Excellent video, as always! :)

  • All the other books have weird creatures with the Narnians, so them in VotDT with Caspian is different for sure, but not out of character, imo. I don't care, it's not going to radically change things.

I can take changes, but I just can't take cheese. Please, no cheese people!! Wonderful video, gP, as usual.

  • Also I could list here all the creatures from that book:

-The dragon itself (including Eustace's version)

-the sea people, who I think are humanoid, but not humans

-the old star and his daughter, and all the 'strange birds' who sing

-the monopods (I think that's their name :P)

    -the sea serpent

    -and much more!(including reep)

Note: this is just my thought, and I mean no offence to anyone here :). And, I loved this video, hehe. Keep up the good work you've been doing!!

  • Dufflepuds:)

  • And I want to say that I'm not referring to putting creatures on board the Dawn Threader, but I mean, they could create creatures for several of the islands, and not just humans. That is one of the best 'touches' of all the Narnia Chronicles: Mixing reality with fiction, and let me add to this, fictional characters as well.

  • Wll I think different than you with your comment about the dawn threader... When I read it for the first time, I thought that he could have made it more interesting than that, refering to all the creatures that he could just have invented or mixed in with the story. I love it, and I think it's my fave of them all, and I admire Lewis' hard work with this amazing book, but if they want to mix more creatures in the storyline, without changing the main story of course, be happy with it! :)

  • The issue is not having creatures in VDT. It's having creatures as part of the actual crew. The crew should be humans who discover fantastical things. Not fantastical creatures that discover fantastical things.

  • ooohh!! ok, now I understand.. yup that's right !!

  • GPuddle, since you have been doing this for more then like a hundred days, how many time will you see this???

  • That will depend on if the movie is good or bad. LWW was pretty good, and I saw it seven times.

  • "the perfect number".. hehe

  • haha awsome-not including owning it? Hey, do I have you as a firend? If not, I shall ask you to, becuase I think we both like similer things, so yeah. I saw that creeper bear video on the other Glum orifile *shudders* they are so freaky!!!!

  • One other thing, I couldn't help but think about with the new shot of Caspian. Princess Bride; "Hello. My name is Enigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die".

  • My most memorable part in the book LWW, was after Aslan comes back to life, and the girls are riding on his back. They neglected to capture the feelings of exhilaration in that scene in the movie. This to me was very disappointing. Notice how Susan's cape didn't even blow in the wind? Very cheesy! I hope they are better with the details in PC. I agree that they need to nail the flight of Caspian.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean, gpuddle. I associate certains colors with the books, too.

    LWW--Blue and white.

    PC--Black and silver.

    VDT--Orange and gold.

    SC--Green and brown.

    HHB--Yellow.

    MN--Green and red.

    LB--Red and white.

Oh, and I agree with you that the scene where Lucy discovers Narnia should've been at night. When I saw the BBC version I loved that image of the lamppost being the light in the forest. And that scene got me hooked into Narnia! ^_^

  • The "openess" you talked about with Caspian fleeing the castle, and the huge shot of him out in the open-I totally agree. That could really be an amazing scene if they have the right music, and play it good. They said there would be creatures aboard the Dawn Treader? Yikes! I don't like that idea at all, and I hope they don't go through with that. Reep is good enough! Looking forward to seeing the Sea People and Dufflepods, that should be fun. Another great Video, Glmpuddle!

  • I agree 100% with you on the color scheme kind of lighting. With Narnia, I always pictured in LWW when Lucy comes into Narnia at daytime because it just kinda sets the joyfulness of her comming into a land in a wardrobe. I also pictured PC kind of orangish-redish-yellowish and I hope that sets the mood more for Narnia. Oh, and P.S. sorry if this makes no sense, its real early.=P

  • I agree about VDT, it was my favorite when I was little and I would be really disappointed if it wasn't a mostly human crew.

  • ...And, yeah... cheesy "You killed my father" scene? ugggh...

Oh! That reminds me: based on what the report said about 1) Miraz maybe killing some one in a room and 2) Caspian looking through a door and 3) Miraz being crowned, do you think the movie will show the death of Caspians father? I hope not, but that's what it sounded like to me. :-/

  • I often joke that "They should have consulted me" about filmmakers, etc... honestly, I wish they would consult you. I wonder if they ever consider some of these very good points you make (eg. about humans v. creatures on the Dawn Treader).

  • More little brother!

I love your analysis, but he just always looks so excited to be in the video.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

    It comes out may 16th!!

  • I had never put it together that each Narnia book has a color. Now that I think about it they do, like LWW is white. And oddly enough, to me The Silver Chair is Green insstead of Silver.

  • Oh green makes sense, because of the villain in that story. I see it as green too.

  • My color for LWW was blue. I suppose because it's a "cold" color.

  • To me Dawn Treader is blue because of all the water.

  • It used to be blue for me, now it's purple. Probably because of the Dawn Treader's sail, and when Lucy smells something she describes as a "purple smell."

  • I know what you mean about the color thing and the books, in seventh grade, I read PC a LOT,(long time ago) and I envisioned kind of bright color scheme as well.

  • Loved how you put the Pauline Baynes illustration of Caspian riding the horse. Your videos are great, but please put your Mac on a table so it doesn't jiggle so much. Thanks for all your work...we really enjoy your videos, esp. the "Lost Video"

  • I about died laughing at the "Lost Video." I farites-ed it.

  • er, I mean "Favorites-ed." Sorry, I can't spleel... ^_-

  • yay first comment! a)hahaha stars wars moment... how awful would that b. b)i dont think wimbleweather could fit through there c)oooooh fire! d)epic cape flying in the wind... classic e)nighttime= a must f)YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY DAWN TREADER!!! love that book SOOOO much.
