  • 4:56 Holy shit, Massad Ayoob is a DARK WIZARD!

  • people dont think! if you let the government take our guns we kant protect ourselves the government will have all power they kant protect us 24/7 when somthing happens there always 2 late were either dead or hurt and tha bad guy got away we tha people must fight for our freedoms if dont we shall lose it!!!!

  • why do people expect politicians to use common sense? their politicians they don't use common sense people

  • @mugaliens forgive the response coming so late but I've just now seen the video and Mr Ayoob answered that question. People aren't afraid or nervous of the guy on the train with his concealed gun because properly done, a concealed firearm means you're the only one who knows because it's not visible.

  • @Christopher71488

absolutely correct. however, what some may see (or not see) is a guy concealing a weapon that may not be legally allowed to conceal such a firearm and those people need to be weeded out by (insert favorite DHS/TSA scanning tech here) therefore making the public feel safe knowing that only those "allowed" to carry (wether open or not) are doing such a thing.

personaly, i think the latter is a crock and should be noted as a direct infringement upon law abiding citizens.

  • "When people OC, the public doesn't know whether they're a good guy or a bad guy." How is that any different with a person carrying concealed? Hint: CRIMINALS DON'T OPEN CARRY.

  • I love it when it is pointed out just how much common sense does NOT come in to play, when big government is deciding how to increase control over the people who are paying their salary. "con" is to "pro" as "congress" is to "progress". LOL

  • Massad for President.....Obama in prison!

  • Childish? Government? IMPOSSIBLE! I mean is literally sitting dwn with the latest copy of Gun Digest and listing all the guns that LOOKED intimidating into the 94 ban childish? I ask you. I think it is perfectly reasonable. Forget that they banned about 3 gns that don't exist due to either misprints or their own error in compounding two different gun names into one.

  • 7:00 "hasn't necessarily been screened"... why do law abiding citizens need to be "screened" to carry weapons? Felons won't be open carrying, what a ridiculous statement to make... 7:55 don't knwo if someone open carrying is a good guy??? When would a bad guy wear a gun on his hip? Does he WANT to talk to a cop that might see him? Stupid assumptions, no clarity of thought and this man wears a badge. He makes cops look dumb with such statements and I know some smart cops who would not like that

  • Massad makes far too much sense for the average person to grasp.

I wish all voters would listen to this segment before they elect politicians who pass stupid legislation that limits the ability for law abiding citizens to defend themselves, while doing nothing to stop criminals from committing crimes.

  • Crystal I get a lot of looks ranging from Oh my god that guy is carrying a gun to a glance and no reaction at all. Most of the oh my god looks probably come from my looking more like I stepped out of Easy riders magazine than GQ.

  • I read Massad Ayoob's articles in Combat Handguns all the time. He really knows his stuff. I am curious, as a minority myself has Ayoob been criticized and/or feared by the majority of Whites who are in this field.

  • @leroy592 I don't think so. I've never heard ANY racial comments about. The man is so credible and so conservative that anyone who owns fire arms, racist or not will probably pay attention instead of insulting him....

  • @BlueCollarSurvival Good point, I hope you're right. Stay safe.

  • @leroy592 Absolutely not. Shooters are some of the most pragmatic folks around. and Racism just doesn't work. Assumptions are bad. They can even get you killed. So those who know, trust those who know. Mas is Yoda. Simple.

  • @trottheblackdog You have a good point. Yes Mas is like Yoda (lol). The reason why I ask this is because as a minority myself many people are surprised at my knowledge/interest in firearms. When I go to gun shows I can see the strange stares because I am a minority. I just laugh and impress them with a good conversation. Stay safe.

  • Love this guy. I live in an open carry state and I do open carry both to exercise my 2nd amendment right and to show people that guns are not the bad guy. people that own guns aren't the bad guy. It's the criminals with guns that are the bad guys and they're probably not going to carry their guns openly on their hip in walmart. they're going to keep them hidden until the last second and then if you're not armed you are at their mercy.

  • I'm curious, what kind of reactions do you get? I've only seen one person carrying openly here in KY.

  • Among his myriad virtues, Mas has a terrific voice:) --

  • I just purchased one of Mr. Ayoob's books- this guy REALLY knows his stuff!!

  • what's missed in the discussion of open carry is that for the most part in open carry states people do not react to open carry, in my part of the world in certain jurisdictions (he is permissible and I have done it a fair amount of times.

No one has ever reacted badly to this and I think the reason is that most of the time people assume that you're a police officer when you are open carrying, mainly because someone behaving normally doesn't draw attention even if they are carrying a gun

  • He's my hero. I've read this man's articles for years, and I have most of his books. You would all do very well to read and listen to this man. He is among the best, most knowlegable people in the business. I've never personally heard him speak until this very video, so thank you for posting this. It is a life goal of mine to be able to one day afford to attend a class of his at LFI. I hope I do it before he passes on. He's not OLD, but he started on this in the 70's. A great man indeed.

  • I've been reading his articles for over 20 years. He's THE best gun writer in America.

  • Patriotic right-wing & conservative Arabs-Americans!

Massad Ayoob, Bridget Gabriel, and Walid Shoebat

  • I think someone forgot to tell someone that were were at war with Germany too.

I don't think they were rice-fed or 120lbs soaking wet.

    JMHO

  • You might wanna think about that again. Towards the end of the war the German Forces where Extremely short on supplies and where using Youth and Elderly Forces.

Also think about the young Japanese.

  • This guy is incredible! The best!

  • Massad is a great guy, and he is regularly on personal defense TV which airs on two Directtv channels SPMN 605 and Hunt 608

Highly recommend him for those that take personal defense seriously, his advice may save your life.

  • I've been reading Ayoob's books and articles for a long time, so it's great to hear his voice for the first time. Great video!

  • catch him monthly on proarms podcast

  • His stuff is great, I purchased his video, "Shoot to Live", its great, but much of the info on the video is found in his articles. He tells it like it is, that's what I like. A lot of people out there want to show how manly they are, by saying things like "A 45 is a man gun". He made the point on his video that in WW2, of course a 45 would stop someone who was rice-fed, exhausted (the Japanese soldier) something along those lines, but to stop a 250 pound man on Meth is another ball game.

  • Thank you for posting this. Always good to hear from Mas.
