A beautiful old industrial building. although I'm not so sure about the style of the surrounding buildings.

I think the shopping street should at least try to blend in with the rest of the area with Victorian style buildings and instead of having big brands have unique individual shops, other than that it looks good ^_^

I agree, as much as it seems like an exciting development I feel that the surroundings look... tacky. Very shopping mall like and hasn't got an 'earthy' feel to it not enough has been put into this project and it's ashame that Battersea Power Station will stick out like a sore thumb because of this.

But I'll never live in the South so really... I don't personally care. =) Turn the area into docks, for industrial purposes.

The power station is exciting, yes...but those buildings that "frame" it are fucking disgusting...

At least Battersea can get a roof now and stop rotting into the ground...I expect those other hideous buildings will be torn down eventually leaving the power station...itll work out alright in the end...

Why would they hide the power station behind office blocks? its the nicest building along the river and a something to marvel at when you drive past on the other side :(

I hope that the view you see of the power station itself is not spoilt by too many buildings along beside it, after all the red building itself is a view in itself !

Maybe they could incorporate a new turbine powered by the hot air from every failed hailer of 'The new power to Battersea'. This may generate enough money to pay for the development and give a point of interest to the site. If 'The Man' wanted to save it, we wouldn't be watching this video. (Although, I like the ideas)

the only thing is what scares me about it is that i feel there trying to now chuck out people who have lived in battersea for years and try bring in a new poshier crowd fair enough im all for new friendlier people but still and also on another plan ive seen they were goner have a new chimney besides it which is eco friendly perlava lol but if they do that then it will block most of battersea's view of the power station so no go for me on that but battersea power station is one iconic building !!

Thee cntrol rooms are not gone at all , I was only in there 3 or 4 weeks ago and they are still there .

I only hope this plan goes ahead and the building is saved from the rotting state its in now. I also think some of the building history should be on display. what about the control rooms, what will become of these ?

@LandmarksEU .no they have not gone,i was head of security there in the 90s..it is time the truth was told..the roof was taken off to expose it to the elements,at some point in the future,it will be condemned and pulled down,in the mean time,they hire the area out at 50 grand a pop,sky tv digital launch being the biggest i can remember.
