Hiya... Have you tested DietOramy healthy diet (can be found on Google)? I've read quite a few unimaginable details about this not to mention my auntie shed a great deal of unwanted fat utilizing it.
I would add that the "Discipline" is not so much in abstaining from foods as it is planning ahead. For me, the potato chips are handy unless another snack is at the ready. I love the idea of making up a batch of spicy almonds and having them pre-portioned. I also like preparing the blender and having it ready to go in the morning.....this is going to be a real life saver for me. THANKS ALTON!
Oh hey! Have you thought about intellectus diet (do a search on google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin lost tons of weight with it.
ya know, Alton, when you heat the Almonds, you ruin all thier enzymes and thus their nutrient pack. Just toss em in soy and worster and let em dry with NO heat.
@FiddlerAdam Not arguing with you there, I agree. I tend to do exactly this on a weekday. However, on the weekends or when especially when I'm sitting with friends, I prefer to eat a full course meal. My suggestion was an attempt at a healthy "full meal." I have to admit there's a satisfaction that I get from eating the whole meal - proteins, carbs, and veggies together - that I don't get from small meals alone.
I Love Alton! He is a genius. Creative, smart, funny. He enjoys what he does and squeezes his brain and skills until the last drop. He shares all his knowledge, no reserves.
And now, he shows his self discipline, will power and control over his own life and destiny with his weight lost program.
I LOVE sardines..and I LOVE avocado...will try this combo soon for a change-up to just eating the sardines out of the can! Thanks, Alton!!! You surely do ROCK!
@ginastarke2 Crown Prince Natural smoked, 2-layer, in olive oil! I love them. King Oscar Tiny Tots are poor. You can find the former via Amazon for about three bucks a can.
You'd be surprised how much food it takes to fill you up. 2 slices of pizza is enough because that stuff is SO DENSE. But Avacados, Sardines, and Toast are surprisingly light and you need quite a bit to feel full. Ever accidentally eaten an entire bowl of guacamole but feel perfectly fine afterwards? That's why.
Yes, there like that NOW... but whos to blame? humans - if we wouldn't have started to drink cow's milk "10,000" of years ago (pfft.) and left if for the cows, yours wouldn't even be a valid statement.
The open sardine/avocado sandwiches sound 'not bad' to try. Howeve,i dont know if the 4 pieces he showed are all for one meal or if they were to take the place of all of the meals for the day aside from the smoothie at breakfast. Anyone know for certain? Thank you in advance.
Thank you....i initially thought that but then started to second guess. I have a cousin who went on a diet a few years ago and decided to use slim fast shakes...had one at each meal WITH his meal. Obviously it didnt work....But thank you again for the input i appreciate it.
1. If I wasn't deathly allergic to seafood of all types, I'd try the sandwiches. Fish are incredibly healthy, especially oily fish. He's right about that.
2. All of the food choices he's made have sound science behind them. Not the pseudo-science of the cholesterol-scare crowd, but "eat real food" science.
3. I can't do smoothies for breakfast. My dad made me do that for years, and I gag at the thought. Not Alton's fault.
It's a shame he can't eat what he used to cook so damn well now.
@faleentoby I would think that 2 of those pieces are one meal. Perhaps you can add a nice salad or a fruit to round it off. A healthier version could be made on toasted whole wheat bread instead of french bread.
I think he looks great. He's chosen to live a healthy lifestyle and people are criticizing him for it. He looks thin, especially in the face, but he also looks to be at a healthy weight for his body. More than likely, we're all a little uncomfortable being faced with our own unhealthy lifestyles when we see someone doing something about theirs, that's why we attempt to find fault. Congratulations, Alton - you've inspired me to try and do the same!
Maybe 10,000's of years ago before man started drinking cow's milk, that would have been a valid statement. "cow's milk is for cows" But man has bred more and more milk capacity into them. So much so that if you didn't milk a dairy cow, they would be in serious pain and probably would eventually die. They make WAY more milk than their calf could ever drink.
No way. That's what humans looked like before we started eating way more than we needed and getting all puffy. (Plus, he just lost a ton of weight, and his skin is still adjusting, which takes longer the older you are.)
I like him even more now for not drinking dairy. Dairy is disgusting in my opinion. Cow's milk is for cows. Good for him losing that much weight. It takes a lot of discipline.
@babykitteh The face usually looks haggard after significant weight loss. If the loss is maintained for a while (like 6 months), it usually fills back out some, and the person starts to look less like a concentration camp refugee.
I did the "Sardine Serge" with Ezekiel bread instead...(one of my staples) and it was fabulous.

Anybody who says he looks too skinny in the video is clearly fat and jealous, he looks totally healthy and more energetic than he did before.

If I absolutely cannot eat fish, what could I substitute?
MetalBback 1 year ago
@MetalBback there's really only one other fish substitute, but its a lot more expensive. You have to wine and dine it first...

Tried this today-- damn tasty. Almost no "sardine" taste... with the oil&vinegar and lemon it tasted more like a usual white flaky fish.
