I lived in a big family of 14 and i loved it ! There are lots and lots of families with 1-2 kids and have far far more problems than Duggars ! I wouldn't say that. If I was one of the teen or adolescent children in that house I probably would be annoyed at having to take care of a baby(s) but at the same time, it's valuable experience if they have children later on, or they may not want to! o_O Either way, they're seeing what it's like.

At least in this case, it's about the children and the love of the children. Unlike Octo-Mom where it's all about her and how much attention she gets thanks to her children. Everytime I see that smirk on Octo-mom's face, I want to bash it in with a hammer.

Wow, lots of people have negative comments, "they aren't responsible, "the kids don't have a choice", etc. But these kids have the awesome opportunity to grow up n a family full of love, where their parents listen, encourage and compliment them daily. How many people have had that? Most of this is jealousy. If u want to talk about parental irresponsibility, how about the parents of that German kid who shot all those girls? Or parents who don't even know where their kids are at this exact moment

As long as they are taking good care of the children and they are _paying_ for the kids all themselves, and teaching them to be nice and respectful citizens... I see no problem.

I'm a little confused. On one episode, the parents were complaining about the 3 older choildren being out of town and Michele and JimBob were having to take care of the kids, then another episode, they said the older girls do all the cooking and cleaning.. So what exactly does Michele do except pump out a baby every 9 months? The older kids are the parents, the cooks, the maids etc. How sad.

oh absolutely, but she actually believes that's the way it should be. they are actually a good portrayal of extreme baptist families - I would know because I came from one. The only reason my parents didn't have more children (my mom had 3, me and my sis with my dad and my brother with a man she was with before him. dad had two kids from his previous marriage) was because mom got cancer and had a hysterectomy. I hope the duggar kids find the way out like we did.

@ maclash i personally think having alot kids isnt that bad my grandmother had 11 but she didnt raised them to be sheltered from everyone else thats wasnt religious and her kids went to school (well she was a teacher ) but i feel that the duggers children have such a huge responsibility of looking after the household and raising their younger siblings like they didnt ask for all that responsibility ..i feel like they dont think for themselves they just listen to what their father says...

I do have a problem with it, but i respect your opinion poohara. I agree with you on the other stuff, and I hope the Duggar kids are introduced to the real world soon. But look at Josh - he's been a Duggar for quite some time now and shows no sign of changing. You probably won't agree with me on this, but I feel sorry for his wife Anna. Look at the pressure she's under! They're both so young and there's so much more they could do with their lives.
