Yes, he has Laryngomalcia. It is a soft larynx and he has acid reflux (GERD) that made his larynx swollen. He is on Prevacid for the refulx and will outgrow the Laryngomalacia and reflux with age. I hope this helps. I know it is scary. Having the baby on his side helps to take gravity/pressure off of his throat.
@snkmz711 my breastfeeding nurse said that when they spit up then milk dries out inside the noise and baby a bit mucosy. thats why baby makes that noise. you should watch if baby doesnt stop breathing coz of that or doesnt go blue. if not then it is ok(if I can say that.) it is so painful to watch your baby like that:( and you cant really help. We tried everything but meds as I'm against to give meds to a baby who is stil developing.
