Just from seeing Rancid live on Youtube, I think he either kneels down when he has to play a consistent rhythm or he'll just strum the chord and let it ring out while he's jumping around or singing or whatever and the other guitar(usually Lars of course) will play the guitar parts under that. I think Tim tries to put energy into the show, because if you wanted to hear the song played perfectly you'd just stay home and listen to the album. Just my thoughts though.

Tim Armstrong es una leyenda, una de las voces más bacanas del punk, de pronto no se compara con The Ramones, pero la idea no es imitar a nadie, la idea es hacer una propuesta propia y mantenerla BIEN a lo largo de los años, y eso es lo que Rancid/Operation Ivy/The Transplants/Tim Armstrong han logrado.
