i think everyones annoyed because the Boosh was a fantastic piece of work.Certainly brings back memories for me of being stoned and pissing myself with laughter watching it. The atmosphere, the characters but this is a different show altogether.People should give it a chance. Maybe Noel and Julian will get together again sometime in the future and create another series of the Boosh. Well, here's hoping!

It's strange. I just came from another trailer for this show, where it was getting absolutely destroyed by viewers taking it upon themselves to be critics, yet here it's alot more mellow, with fair points being made and a general buzz for the show. I think I prefer it here.

I don't care what anyone says! Noel is amazing at what he does. The Boosh was brilliant and yes of course this looks like it because he did the artwork on The Boosh you absolute fanny faces. People are always so quick to judge, also Noel doesn't just have an insane approach to comedy, he can be very witty and clever with his jokes... so suck on that you pessimistic fucks.

I fear without Julian Barratt its just not going to be the same, Noel is great but he's always better in a duo, his excellent style of fantasy and ridiculousness needs some dead wood sensibility to balance it out.

@stnavres of course going in with exactly the same format and/or cast would suck (especially how downhill boosh went in series 3) so I am intrigued it was just a concern since Julian Barrett was the pivot for every pun in boosh. I love a lot of his other work where he's a bit more serious too, Sweet is probably my favourite of everything he's done.

@adzaa I personally thought season 3 was amazing hahah, but I think that Julian was like that in Mighty Boosh because they both wrote so it had a particular format. But I see it as Noel is going to fill in Julians parts in them, so while the jokes will be different they won't be missing anything.

@stnavres Have you listened to the boosh radio show, I think Noel is amazing in that his characters really come to life. definately worth a watch! I can't wait to see what this is like its just a complete unknown at the moment. I didn't like season 3 because vince and howards relationship was portrayed all wrong, it was much better in season 1 when vince looked up to howard in some circumstances.

@adzaa Really? Even in season 1 I always saw Vince as the more "superior" one for lack of a better word, since he was always helping Howard with Gideon and other such things, and became the electro singer for awhile.

@stnavres Vince is the more confident throughout as its his character, but in season 3 and somewhat in season 2 but not so much, he actually seems to dislike howard who is constantly put down, whilst howard being put down is part of the show in the first season in particular there were moments where there was more of a brotherly vibe between them that gets lost the further you go through the episodes. then again if I had to live out the milky joe scenario it would probably change me too.

@adzaa Of course it's not going to be the same, it's not the mighty boosh and it's not trying to be, it's an entirely different show. An entirely different and yet no doubt as amazing show.

@renalexlee Its not about it being the same or different its about the structure of comedy. When you have a strange style focusing on over the top exagerations, you need to have someone there to completely balance it out. If you look back to Monty Python, its a great example of the absurd and deadwood comedy and how it has to work together. Fieldings a legend on buzzcocks but only when associated with deadpan presenters. I hope that I am pleasantly surprised when it comes out.
