Uyghurs are a mix of original mongolian/Tungussic/tatar type Uyghurs who migrated from North Mongolia to Tarim basin and mixed with local population of Tokharian (ancient Indo European race). Tungussic Liao or Kara Khitai and Chaghatai Mongol Muslims also had large influence on Uyghurs for centuries as rulers. Chaghatai Mongol rulers converted Uyghurs to Islam and kept the old Muslim Karakhan Turkic culture alive which you can see today and enjoy the beautiful Muqam Music and Dance.

yeah, the uyghurs are better looking than the average han chinese majority in China because of their part caucasian blood. The Uyghurs are a Eurasian race. They kind of remind me of the Native Americans too - cause many of them have Chinese eyes but have sharper features.
