  • Great <3 really I love it :)

I've had an accident month ago Fractured my knee and i'm not allowed to ride until next year :) i have to big screws inside now , i've been really sad for not riding but watching this video made me smile :) thanks xo

  • Regionals are horrible! And you guys get to step foot on the cross country course, let alone compete on it? No fair! We're not allowed at our state horse show because you can get hurt on it, like you can't get hurt anywhere else. They should just wrap us up in bubble wrap and make us walk around the show ring with our horses watching us!

  • @feathersmom111 No lol that XC course was at a completely different facility and show ;) They'd never let us on a XC course at 4H unless they went crazy haha.

  • omg this is in alabam right? at the crawford arena? the state show?! lol

  • @HorseAnimeLover Yeah some of the pics were from state show ;]

  • @mewjet18 awesome! i do the whole 4-H thing too! i made it to regionals last year but i didnt go cuz of the expenses lol

  • @HorseAnimeLover That's too bad, it's quite an experience! I went twice, and placed in dressage both times.

  • maybe it was destiny? Sometimes it turns out to be only a bit care on a horse and it will reward you as you can see;) i know what i am talking bout :)

  • that is amazing!! ur horse is beautiful and you two must have a very unique connection! u are really a great person :}

  • wow what a gorgous horse:D

  • beautiful long legs that horse has!

  • wow awesome soo sweet!!! the one thing i dont like bout ex race horses is that they favor the on lead and i kinda sux for juming but the do make awesome jumers!!! lol

  • yeah! lol favoring the left lead isn't so good for hunters, but atleast she has good flying changes! LOL

  • all 3 of my big bay tb's are like this. they were off the track some badly abused saved now great show horses. no slaugher htis time.

  • nope! That is awesome..congrats on you too for saving them :]

  • Congrats and keep up the great work!

  • thanks so much! :]

  • love the video that is like me and my horse and me but he didnt goto a slaughter he went to a rescue center when he got off the track and he was lame for like a year and i am riding him again we just started back showing since he got hurt. But i haave had him for 7 years today. i hope you and your horse do good in shows

  • wow 7 years? glad he's not hurt anymore :]

  • ohh thank you yeah i am so happy there is a video i just put of us up

  • Thats amazing! the life history, ur riding, her ablitiy, EVERYTHING! Keep up the gr8 work and the friendship!

  • Amazing! Congradulations on everything with her! :)

  • looks exactly EXACTLY like the thoroughbred i ride

  • aw they're the best though right? [: lots of people say bay is a boring color but I loove my bay haha and I'm about to buy another bay horse :D

  • 5 STARS! AWESOME!

  • shes gorgeous! great job!

  • Thanks :D

I saw your new guy in your vid and he looks like he'll be amaaazing

  • your thoroughbred is BEAUTIFUL! most mare tb's i know have bad attitudes but it looks like she has a great personality!! what a relief there are some out there! haha!! what level do u event? looks like training to me? i could be wrong though haa

  • Thanks :D she has a really funny personality actually, she pretends to be angry when she's actually happy (except she doesn't like to be touched. crazy mare). We tease each other too haha, she's more like a sibling than a pet horse to me, I'll rub her on the belly (which she doesn't like) and it makes her angry, then she'll come at me pretending to be angry or to bite but instead of biting she'll just rest her nose on my shoulder for a few seconds, like she wants to snuggle haha.

  • lol I wish we were up to training. We haven't actually done any recognized events (our first one is this weekend, middle tn pony club ht, beginner novice (though she's ready for novice, we can't really move up til we've done 2 beginner novice events haha)), we have mostly just shown at local hunter/jumper/dressage shows, right now we show 3' consistently and are moving up soon, but she doesn't have as much confidence on xc, but we're working on that

  • wow.i hope you know what you have done here.especially making this video and sharing your amazing accomplishment with everyone, and hopefully inspiring many horse lovers.just want to say that you're really giving out a strong message just by sharing this vid...=]

    i love it!

  • Thank you so much!! (: I didn't actually buy her until 2 1/2 years after she came off the track, but my trainers didn't have time to work with her and she was too fresh for their lesson program. She's 10 now, but she really thinks she's a 5 year old, since she lost 5 years of her life at the track under drugs. My trainers had bought 2 other horses at the same time as Tilly, one has been lame since, and one was sold as a broodmare and died in a freak accident at her new home...

  • wow guess she had a pretty rough past!i hope the others have a bright future as well =]

  • that's really an amazing story because if more people did what you did, buy a horse that was goign to go to slaughter, it wouldn't only save alife, but LOTS of GREAT quality show horses or pleasure horses go to waste ):

  • once we get our farm all set up, I wanted to buy 1 or 2 horses set for slaughter and train them up for a year or 2 and sell them to a good home. and probably keep buying others to train after that :)) that's just what I want to do though, depends on if I have the time for them once I finish college..

  • yeah that is pretty amazing!

even just something like that can make a hugee difference, (:

  • wow! you're such an amazing rider! and Tilly is gorgeous! :D xx

  • aw thank you :))

  • very good! thats something that shes come all this way from a slaughterhorse!

would u like 2 enter the straight english, jumping, or dressage category of the contest?

i suggest jumping bc that is most of ur vid ")

    thanx 4 entering!

  • Aw she's so gorgeous it makes me happy when horses r saved from the slaughterhouse, weird at my riding school theres a a horse called Tilly and actually around the same size and colour :P

  • Yeah, I didn't know she was set for slaughter until last year, at a show, where my trainer said, You know if we hadn't bought her, she would have been slaughtered in a week. and I was like WHAT??

haha I love her color. In the summer she's a blood bay and it's a bit boring, but in the winter she goes darrk bay with a silver tone in her fur and she gets huge dapples. I wish she had her winter color all year :)

  • haha sounds like when my sister told me if we hadn't got our dog she would've been put down, i was like i didnt know that!! You'd think they'd tell us eh?

Oh!! I love when bay horses get dapples! I used to know a horse that was really light bay in the summer but got black dapples in winter! She looks gorgeous, my sisters horse at the minute goes really dark and looks like a mountain pony I say!

  • yeah :) tilly gets a lot darker in winter. she'd look even better if I could give her a bath then but it's too cold haha

In this vid, at 47 seconds, the dressage picture, that's mostly her color in winter, though she'd already started shedding there

  • Yeah my sister wants to bath her horse now because she needs one but it's already starting to get cold! Ooh yeah she is quite dark in that picture, in some of my older videos it has my sisters video in winter, though in one of them it has a picture if my sister hugging her and you can see her face is like black! haha.

  • yeah haha. It doesn't get cold here till october/november

  • it's meant to get cold in around September but now it's more like....all the time! Our summer is non-existant now! There'll be like a week in July and a week in August then it just rains again, I remember when we went to New York on a trip our tour guide for the day was telling a story where it would rain for years and years, and he was like can u imagine it raining for that long? And we all just stared and someone shouted 'we're from England!' and he's was like ah fair enough haha.

  • i like the video :-)

  • Im so glad you saved her!!

    Awesome video!

    best luck in the contest!!

  • aw thanks :) she's a blast to work with. The other day I rode without a bridle or hackamore or rope or anything, it was crazy fun

  • Beautiful video, and way to go for being this horse's guardian angel! :)

  • she's like my sister :) really

  • I should be in the Credits haha. I recorded like 2 or 3 of those haha.

  • camera men don't count. it was already too long anyway

  • wow, she is so stunnin. no horse deserves 2 go 2 slaughter they shud ban it. she is one of the lucky ones, u have done such a good job with her :) x

  • Thanks guys :) yeah she was a race horse, and didn't win enough and couldn't pay her own board. And when we got her, she had a hairline fracture, but it's totally healed now

  • Aww that was really touching :)

im so glad you saved her from slaughter :)

i love your Horse and great video! :)

  • aw thank you so muches! :)) yeah I was hoping the end would be cool. with the slow-mo movie style salute

  • I see it finally worked out! Uber awesome. Particularly liked the end at 4:20. Very stoic. Five stars!
