You think you people got problems? I recently did some price scaling and found out that Australia is getting ripped-the-hell off on Transformers... A Voyager here for example is 50 bucks, in American that's about 40. Meanwhile, the yanks sell them for 22 moneys (25 Australian, the same price as a deluxe here), LUDICROUS!?

hah in france voyagers are about 35 euros, that's a staggering 52 USD ! Deluxes are 20 euros which adds up to 30 $... Insane.

LOL, funniest toy review I've ever reviewed. I think the reason why the Deluxe and FAB toys have almost the same price is because of the same amount of plastic material that the manufacturer is used.

Apparantly stock of this particular wave (along with Deluxe wave 4 I believe) was re-routed to fill demand in the USA.

However, there are rumors coming from Hasbro that they've still shipped these assortments to the retailers. But, seeing as it's Hasbro, one can only take that with a bit of salt. But at least there's hope :)

Hey Thew. Awesome Video as always. hilarious too. Punch gimmicks always end up bad i think, mianly because they cant put a powerful enoguh spring and chain in the figure to shoot out the punch w/o driving up the price point.

WELL SAID Sir!! What are Hasbro scared of, maybe that if they lower the price of the FAB line everyone will go gaga for them and abandon the Deluxe line? YEAH RIGHT!! Would I swap FAB BB for Deluxe BB to save a few quid, of course not!! It's just blatant profiteering, Hasbro guess, well the FAB's are the same size so we can get away with charging Deluxe whack for them, argg!! Gotta admit, the only FAB I have, came in a 2-pack of Optimuses (Optimii?). I think it was "A leader for the ages" pack?!

The 1984 redux one is cool - I have him stood next to my G1 Optimus and they look great together. The FAB however, is tucked away hidden behind/under something somewhere.

I hope I never find it.

Definately agreed on the two main points, yes pricing does seem a bit iffy and yes beards are awesome.

Devastation Blast... probably went with that since it was shorter than Lazily Reaching for Cup Long Haul.

You're right on the prices all right. Though there's something else rotten going on as well. Deluxes cost about €20 where I live, the same ones that are £12.99 in the UK. How exactly does that make sense?

You can answer your question on price by putting a FAB and a Deluxe on a scale, they should be nearly identical in weight. And that's the main cost, the plastic. The rest is secondary like paint, packaging and shipping.
