  • hmm, the trailer doesn't seem that intriguing to me, but if its based on Lovecraft I may have to check it out.

  • wow, ive just ordered every ''MASTERS OF HORROR'' dvd from amazon, judging from these trailers, i think im in for a real treat! where was this shit on halloween? wish i had them for that night! along with insidious, only just seen it and LOVED it.

  • i still remember watching these, my granny and i would pop some popcorn, fill our drinks with coke and dim the lights out in the livingroom to watch them. good times

  • That fucking rat!

  • fuck that rat ! seriously; killed this flick!

  • WHATS THE SONG TO BEGGIN????

  • realmente bueno

  • this is my favourite LOvecraft's story, I like it more than his famous Cthulhu thing

  • yeah, when demons start carving up your back and arms, you might want to just couch surf for a while or, you know, be homeless. it's better than being ripped into pieces.

  • i like the rat :)

  • Ok, it's not what I expected, but it's ok for Lovecraft's "non-readers". But I missed the Great Black Man! This could sound strange, but I imagine Keziah (the Witch) more creepy. This one is even "nice". The inclusion of a female character helps to make the "search for a baby" shorter, but maybe people not familiar with Lovecraft works will not understand why Gilman reaches some conclusions, I mean, according to what he thinks the witchs is trying to "convert" him??? Better than others, anyway.

  • what chanel is

    i am peruano

  • Loved this episode.

  • "WALTER...I AM A RAT WITH A HUMAN FACE. LETS BE FRIENDS."

  • I fucking hate that rat with human face. He killed everyone!

  • Here you can find an italian short tale of horror and love. The whispers in the grey darkness are purely lovecraf-addicted...

    dissolvendomelita.splinder.com/post/23887958/quello-che-aspetta-un-racconto-romantico-di-daniele-corradi

  • enjoy full edition associated with this specific movie right here from avatz net change space to .

  • Loved the rat who had human face.

  • This episode is so boring I fell asleep halfway through, one of the worst Masters of Horror episodes

  • good episode

  • this episode its better than the one with jennifer no?

  • @partzzzzzzz It's hard to say. They are both very good episodes. But i'd probably perfer this one over Jennifer. It's a very close tie between which one is scarrier though

  • (con't) dumbing down unto a desecration, that is, of what I consider to be not only HPLs greatest work, but a forgotten masterpiece not simply of the genre but among 20th Century American short stories as a whole.

  • Having read this spectacularly weird, astonishingly macabre long short-story by HPL some two-dozen times for being transfixed by the rhapsodic language and wild imagery, I often thought about transmuting it somehow or in fact how it would look on the screen. I see now five years after its unfortunate release that this was in screenwritten. I have not seen the entire film, so I wiill not evaluate it, but the trailer convicts it of startling silliness and smacks of a dumbing-down unto affront.

  • @Dolorousness As with most film adaptations of his works. The HPLHS have brought out a few good ones though.

  • one of my favourite witches stories in absolute. magic Lovecraft!

  • The episode was good but the horrific genius of H.P. Lovecraft cannot be truly captured in a one hour short this needed to be a full length film at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours to really develop both the plot and characters but all in all this adaptiation was good and enjoyable in my opinion now if only more of Lovecraft's works could be make it to the screen assuming a competent director and cast work on it but maybe that is asking to much of a hollywood obsessed with gore and mindless sex scenes

  • Having watched this episode multiple times, I tried to like it, but honestly it was far too Hollywood for my liking. Changing the gender of Frank to Frances, and the entire nude scene were not only out to lunch but also just ridiculous. Perhaps one day we'll see an honest adaptation of the story which doesn't require sex to be a good story.

Too much emphasis on flesh, and blood, and not nearly enough on the actual intended meaning of the story. HP Lovecraft would not approve.

  • :| I am not impressed. One of the great aspects of Lovecraft's writing is the vulnerability. You don't know what it is, you don't know what it looks like, you don't know what it is, all you know is that there's something just out of your vision hunting you, chasing you, and all you have is you and your thoughts (and possibly a really shit flashlight). Soaking "Dreams in the Witch House" in blood ruins the suspense Lovecraft tried to build. Sure, there is blood, but this isn't an action film!

  • Where is Yog Sothoth is this movie?

Too much splatter and too little mystery.

    More black magic!

  • i love the masters of horror theme with the piano

  • Another episode that made my skin crawl.H.P. Lovecraft is,and always will be a talent in Horror.God rest his soul.

  • Brown Jenkin!! Almost as creepy as Lovecraft wrote him.

  • probably not one of the best episode of this series but still pretty creepy. couldn't done without the talking rat. eww the baby being in danger especially gets under your skin!

  • is this master of horror a show?

  • I think i read a book like that once.

  • it creepied me out when i saw this.. a naked witch... i was prayin that nothing will happened to the babyyy...

  • this looks pretty funny

  • whats the little theme that comes out when there's blood dripping in the white background?

  • its the masters of horror theme song

  • ezra is really hot in this i wish he didnt have have to die in this hes way too hot to day die

  • This is my favourite of those boxes. And Sick girl were pretty good, but this is my most favourite!

  • I love this épisode and Ezra godden is a very good and cool actor.

  • Is Brandon Nadon acting?

  • This episode is really really cool!!

  • Saw this on the big screen at the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival -- & it was fairly effective. As a cinematic rendering of a tale by HPL, this is his most faithful effort and is fairly true to its written source.

  • Does this fucktard have to rape each and everyone of H.P. Lovecraft's stories

  • @M34Clan8

I really wasn't impressed with this one.

  • @dionysoscub I was HORRIFIED by this one.

  • this was a great show, but the only thing that struck me hard was the rat killing the baby. i have a 1 year old son so u could imagin how heart dropping that scene was, but the little rat man is freaky!

  • is this like horror for children? The plots are very thin.

  • Yeah but it is also very good not like the stupid horror movies that are coming out in the theaters now

  • Thin? This is Lovecraft we're talking about.

Granted his stories have more of an impact on paper, seeing as everything is left to the imagination.

  • Or even as a radio type play.

  • This is a really great episode! I love the rat with the human face! Scared my granddaughter too! She loved it!

  • Just watched this last night

  • buenisima esta pelikula la vi en la red....me enkanto...

iwal pense ke me iba a kagar de miedo pero noo...jajaja....muy wena

  • I was really ravaged after reading this novel by Lovecraft, so I expected a bit more from this episode...

brown jenkin is more scary as i imagined him..:: S

  • love this episode..

  • @blindmag01 yeah , you're right !

  • @blindmag01 yeah...no shitting words around..just pure horror..

  • elo guys ... oh my gosh its so scary

  • looks like a shitty comedy to me.

  • hurted me?

    Cute.

  • great show

  • was this show cancelled?

  • yeah.

  • why?

  • I blame human stupidity. I thought this show was amazing. I think it was replaced with Masters of Science Fiction.

  • that totally sucks. This episode (witchhouse) was my favorite. you want to know why?

  • why?

  • because 1:02 turns me on :)

  • lovely.

  • you too :) ?

  • if only my friend. if only.

  • what does that mean?

  • Because :>

  • What r u trying to say my friend?

  • Nothing, I'm kidding.

  • it was fucking creepy

  • this movie is the craziest i have ever seen

  • Rats in the walls? Hmm, reminds me of something...

  • If I remember right, in Sounds Like the guy found ratss inside the garage wall

  • Rats in the Walls is also another short story by H. P. Lovecraft

  • cool

  • Yoson 25, Cannibal Holocaust is much more gory and also features REAL animal killings....

But if you think imprint is more brutal...that's ok...next time watch "Guinea Pig 2" and then you tell me...

  • and Masters of horror refers to .... ??

  • this episode is my favrite so scary

  • So freaky! I didn't know they made a movie based on H.P. Lovecraft's story. :D

  • i read this story

  • this movie looks dope but nothing beats mastersofhorror's Takashi Miikes Imprint.

    for gore...not even cannibal holocaust

  • 48.000 wiew!

  • oh my good the was very horror movie i love horror movie very much but at the time i thinking about on movien very much

  • i want a familiar like brown jenkin, cute little rat monster!

  • your mom is a cute little rat monster

  • Can someone post the entire thing, I've never gotten to see it.

  • i just got netflix and this was one of the first things i saw. i reccomend netflix, and once you have it, this movie. its not bad.

  • Lovecraft owns everybody. Nothing beats him.

  • holy shit, i couldn't sleep for two years since i watch this episode, you know what they said about traumas.

  • scary shit at 0:55 it almost brings me back 2 my childhood wen i use 2 have nightmares at my old apartment about the witch....im gettin chills jus thinkin about...anyway they say wen ur little if u go 2 bed 2 late or ur bad the witch will come and get u in ur dreams or ur not suppose 2 stay up past midnight if ur little coz she will be right besides u the minute u go 2 sleep...in the middle of the night i seen some wierd lookin eyes and felt a cold chill on me it was a witch...good movie 5 stars

  • @rednosechulo shit i wont be sleeping tonight

  • Go to greatmovies[DOT]tk to watch this movie and many more for free.

  • This is one of my favourite Masters Of Horror episodes ever!.

I did not scare me, but it defitinely shocked me.

Seeing that rat eating that cute baby was the most shocking part u_u.

    I love Masters Of Horror!

  • Do we get to see the elder things in this film? I always wanted to see these polyhedral creatures on the screen.

  • gotta love lovecraft.

    he freeks me out

  • This is atually a comercial for an episode of the T.V series masters of horror

  • That seems awesome...

  • This was one of the most sick Masters of Horror

  • the saddest part in this movie is when Brown Jenkin chews on the baby's neck.

  • This is the funniest movie of the Masters of Horror! It isn't scare!!

  • FUCK!!!! IT WONT WORK ON MY COMPUTER

  • I Pictured Brown Jenkin 10 times more horrifying than he appeared in that trailer.

  • This trailer didn't show any of the other surreal parts of his dreams, like when he was taken through different abyssal dimensions, and he saw Yog-Sothoth, and that Polyhedron Creature... or when he traveled to the city of the elder things and accidentally broke off a statue of one of the aliens. I didn't see the black man there either. I hope this movie has them.

  • Lovecraft thanks

  • This trailer basically gives everything away.

  • mr jenkins rules XD

  • Reminds me of the story The Judge's House.

  • Its really sad when the guy dies in the end

    :(

  • this episode was good

but not as good as stuarts other episode "the black cat"

  • the blck cat is the only one i havn't seen

  • i liked that one was really good

  • xlemonysnicketx posted the whole movie :D

  • i just saw my first episode of master of horror.

it was with a girl who was having sex with dead men and i think i also saw a dead woman participating

    hahahahahahahhaah it was so funny

  • It's called Hackel's Tale. Im selling it on ebay you want to buy it

  • i coulden't even read the whole story it disrubed me beyond belief!

  • WHAT, NO RIEMANNIAN EQUATIONS?

  • I've never seen this episode. It seems that only about 6 episodes are shown anymore on tv.

  • Great episode, but Ezra Godden can't scream for shit!

  • the mothers had big good boobs !

  • One of the best episodes in the entire series.

  • Chelah Horsdal is hot

  • where can i get this???????????????

  • jenifer was spooky

  • I would want a girl to do that to me at 01:02

  • ehh...

  • what does that mean?

  • "I said i just had a fuckin itch, GOD!!!" lol

  • don't you find the scratch a turn on?

  • No, not really.

  • It wasn't a scratch, it was a rip.

  • well that turns me on. I hope that my next girlfriend will rip my back like that.

  • I'd hate to see you when you become old man (with many scars) lol

  • that would be such a turn on, you know, to have those scars for life.

  • i think my fav episode of moh is "family"

  • (cont'd) atmosphere to really feel Lovecraftian

  • Stuart Little? j/k

Seriously it doesn't look like the book at all, so I agree with some people here.

  • What in the hell? Everyone seems to be saying how good this episode was and how much it was like the Lovecraft story? There was barely anything left that made Lovecraft's original story so great. And the battle scene with the witch in the end, was just ridicilous.

It had its good moments and it wasn't a complete waste of time. But would it be for once possible to make a Lovecraft movie which happens in Lovecraftian times and stop modernizing everything!

  • The episode was great - and I don't know if it's just me, but the acting was brilliant

  • poor child... I'LL KILL THAT RAT FOR KILLING THE BABY!

  • Great episode! But Godden can't scream for shit.

  • when that guys back was getting cut he liked that. He likes pain. He finds it sexy.

  • As cool as this looks, the dude looks like a terrible actor.

  • The episode itself is really good. Great atmosphere true to the Lovecraft story. However, you are right, the guy IS a horrible actor. He almost ruined the entire movie for me.

  • Really? I thought he did alright, but then again I just came from watching the First episode "Incident On and Off A Mountain Road" which had horrendous acting.

  • i reli like fair-haired child that was GOOOOOD

  • i did'nt watch all of it but reli did the rat fuck dat Old coooz thats fucked

  • hell yeah jennifer was the shit

  • In fact, Dreams in the Witch-House comes in a solid 3rd behind Fair-Haired Child and Jenifer in my list. Very scary O_o

  • Walter ....

  • yea i saw it... the rat looks funny but its a crazy ass rat :p... Its scary when hes fucking the witch :P Shes damn ugly

  • whats your guys favv MoH? mine was Cigarrete burns

  • i love this show.this and deadwood

  • Saw this episode. Story 6/10,Gore 5/10, humor 7/10.

The rat looks and sounds funny!!!

    P.S. Brief nudity

  • Dagon and The Ressurected are about the only films that come close to even trying to capture the Lovecraft "feel" of his stories. But even they just don't seem to manage it. The Thing and In The Mouth Of Madness (even though they are not based on Lovecraft stories) do better at portraying Lovecraft's themes of the alien under our noses. A lot of the other stuff just descends into black magic hocus pocus which, ironically, Lovecraft detested.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Hmmmm, the rat face is pretty funny....ha.

  • what dreams in the witch house is a story from lovecraft ??

  • I read this well-written review on Amazon; it said that Gordon (despite a low budget and a tight filming schedule) succeeded in keeping the film as faithful to the original Lovecraft story as he could get. :)

  • HUMAN FACE RAT

  • I'm watching this very episode right now, as I'm writing this. Scary as hell =( 5/5 for scary and freaky factors, even the previews scared me =(

  • Looks terrible. Read the story, only.

  • Dagon and Dreams in the witchhouse are actual films that do lovecraft justice, excluding the sex scenes in dagon. Beyond the wall of sleep I can make sense of but couldn't be more off but reaches the atmospheric perspective extremely well. The ressurected "Case of Charles Dexter Ward" is probably the best.

  • He don't kill baby.Crazy mouse kill baby.

  • waaaaiit he kills a baby?
