I almost hate to say many words about this song because it is such a perfect poem in itself. But I will say, it hits me in the heart every time I hear it. Amazing lyrics and music by Jackson Browne and so perfectly suited to Nico that the song seems the natural embodiment of her voice. The motif of the clock chiming, counting time "in quarter tones to ten" etc...just an amazing piece of music/poetry.
