  • you blow

  • hey... great sounding guitar... how much it costs?

  • Hey man, great demo :) do you think this guitar could do like Foo Fighters kinda tone? Dave Grohl uses a Trini Lopez which is a semi-hollow body and Ive been looking for a similar guitar coz i don't have the money for a Custom Shop Trini :P

  • Hi guys, I have a problem.

The input jack on my sheraton II somehow fell in to the body of the guitar, any help on how I should fix it?

  • nice playing, is the name of that finish you have on your epi called : tabacco sunburst ?

    thanks :)

  • @kingscan1

tobacco sunburst. Unfortunatelly it was discontunued

  • @BluesZep Ill find one on ebay, thanks!

  • dude i love this guitar but everyone on youtube seems to be using it for blues and jazz, can it actually play rock? like green day or paramore?

  • @ph0enix619

I'd use it for rock. The amount of distortion and volume can generate some feedback, but it's not a major issue.

  • @BluesZep

Yes that's true, one simple trick use transparent tape on the F holes and you can rock this guitar like crazy without feedback:)

  • One of the particular issues with the casino is the peculiar vibrato that occurs when strumming. It is almost as if the strings are fight one another. It is supposedly due to the trapezoidal tail piece. Since the tail on the Sheraton is the standard type rather than trap then they shouldn't have that issue. but still thought I'd ask. Since the need to switch from open chords to leads is a big deal for me that would be important to take into account.

  • How do you like it for strumming? Any vibrato issues like on the Casino?

  • @kicksit1980 What is the issue on Casino? I never heard about

  • Sounds Great, I just got the guitar in black

  • Great Guitar, I've got one black finished and gold hardware (I'm not sure that's the best transduction... Nevermind)

If I can give you some advice, put a B-70 Bigsby on it : great style, great sound, pure happiness !

  • im getting it for christmas im dieing in anticipation

  • I have this guitar. It's probably my best sounding guitar. To me it sounds better then my Gibson ES135. It sounds similar but fuller compared to my Elitist Les Paul, by Epiphone.

  • planning buying one end of this year, sexy!

  • @spawnscout if your not sure if a les paul would sound good playing blues you could check out Joe Bomassa. He's an amasing blues player who plays on a les paul. also its all about preference. if you like the sound of a les paul than go for it!

  • i just got that guitar :D

  • @cameronm100

    Congrats! It`s a great guitar!

  • i love blues, funk, and jazz, but also rock, hardrock and heavy. Does this guitar provide a good sound for these kind of more rocky styles or would you recommend me a les paul. My main problem is that i love blues but i don´t know if a les paul would sound good playing blues.

  • @spawnscout les paul would be good

  • @spawnscout I know it's a late answer,

I've got this magnificent guitar, it's a very multivalent guitar : I play every style without any problem.

Blues and jazz are the best to play whit it but the epiphone can ALSO support high saturation and gain.

The Les Paul is a great guitar to play blues BUT it depends what type of Les Paul you're talking about. If you want a Gison one : choose the Les Paul studio or Les Paul Standard. The studio have a sound close to the SG and the standard is more "Fat"

  • It is not a hollow body, it is a semi hollow body. This guitar kicks booty, and can pretty much do anything, from the dark deep blues to heavy metal!

  • hey. should I keep the standard pickups on this guitar or change them to p90s or p94s? thanks

  • @Expis0 My dad bought this guitar a while back, and I personally don't think the stock pick ups sound very full, P-90's sound good though. I changed out my Epiphone LP pickups with Gibson pickups, it made a world of difference.

  • @acrazyhippo21 thanks. but i think p 94s would look better on this guitar than the p 90s. and i also believe they sound better. cheers

  • how come a hollow body is that heavy??

  • @jiri1991

    Semi-hollow

  • heavy is good

  • Where did you buy that guitar? I am looking all over the net for that color and can't find the sheraton in that color. Do they make it in that color anymore?

  • @hoverdave They only make it in a lighter sunburst color now. I think both this color and the new one were both listed as Vintage Sunburst, but I'm not positive. Hope that helps!

  • Can you get some good distortion on that thing? Can you come close Jimmy Page' sound? I'd like to hear you jam some solos on distortion =P

  • if your looking for jimmy page tones just save up for a gibson les paul faded studio, theyre 800 bucks and they sound great, very versatile. but this guitar is great too.

  • haha the first riff sounded very dire straits...

  • are good the stock pickups?

  • Can you tell me the exact weight of the guitar,i cant find it anywhere on the net :|

  • mine weights 4,2 kg

  • really? that's pretty heavy.

  • hey man i just got a sheraton, and was wondering whether i should lower or raise the bridge for more sustain. coz my has terrible sustain

  • mine weights 4,2 kg

  • WOW :-0

    TNX man :)

    take care

  • that's like...9 pounds?! it's heavier than a les paul? O_O

  • exactly

  • how does it cope wit hlarge amounts og distortion?? does it feed back?

  • Have you ever had a problem with the Classic 30 buzzing? Mine's got a pretty bad buzz..

  • I have a classic 30 and it buzzes..... Keep the gain down to a reasonable level and it is ok. I don't notice the buzz in a band setting

  • Buy a tube tammer, I'll buy one, because mine buzzes at high volumes

  • Is it a faded sunburst colour or another name? I'm trying to find one.

  • It's tobacco sunburst

  • Mighty fine playing !!! You've got good playing skill.

  • yepp

  • this guitar is so so so so so sexy!

  • How do you like your Epiphone? I have seen a Washburn just like it but don't know anything about Washburn. Where did you get your's at?

  • Both epiphone and washburn RULE the £400-£600 [roughly $500 - $750] ranges, i own a washburnW165 pro and is the most versatile guitar i have owned, I have also played many epiphones, its all down to preferance. Definitely try both and from a fair opinion is all i can say. :)

  • Stock pickups ?

  • neck pickups is stock, bridge one is an unknown pickup

  • is the feedback bad when it is played with distortion

  • depents on what amp you use...

i have an epi sheri too... i played it through a marshall (2x 30watt celistion speakers) and it keeps having an inoing feedback (many of PEEEEEEPPPP) you can't lose your strings or it will piep very hard... but i have heard that you can block the sound by doing sponge in the (F) holes...

but i played it throug a peavey bandit 112 and it has no piep, just perfect... (without the holes fulled with sponge)

    cheers

  • nice!!! Im getting one of those real soon but am left handed so it only comes in one finish. Whats the finish on yours and does it have gold or silver hardware???

  • heyyy great great tone and playing!

did you have a touch of reverb on the peavey ??

if not, that room sounds like heaven...cheers !

  • Thanks!

In this video the reverb knob was around 4.

    Cheers!

  • Wait, so this is made in korea? Does that improve the quality of the guitar? I know my two epiphones are made in China and they have tuning problems on the 3rd-1st strings. Does your guitar have tuning problems?

  • I Have Korean 2007 Epi Sheraton, I have tried both korean and chinesse, the chinesse guitar make me crazy for tunning and the finishing is very poor compared with the korean, cheaper but ....., I think Epiphone might have a minimum care about quality!!.

By the way I have installed two pickups gibson 57...... amazing,

  • Oh, okay. Thanks.

  • I'm saving for this guitar. I keep watching this video to keep me motivated to save....haha. Really like the tone and playing.

  • is that a korean sheraton?? what about the quality?

  • Yes, Korean. Great construction and finish quality. Pickups aren't so good, but you can deal with them.

  • What the pickups you use here video epiphone sheraton?

  • Fala, cara.

  • Sounds awesome bro, i love my classic 30.

  • Thanks, and congrats for your amp! I love mine, too!

  • does this guitar have gold hardware on it?

I'm looking for one of these without gold hardware. nice work.

  • Yes, it has. But it's a 14 years old guitar, and hardware is aged.

  • Is your EPI stock ro have you changed out the pickups What is the amp your playing through. I just bought a SHeraton II and seems to say change out the pickups

  • I've bought it used, and bridge pickup isn't stock, but I don't know what it is. I want to put good pickups in mine, it has great wood, resonance and playability. Deserver great pickups!

  • awesome sheraton...is it expensive?how much?

  • can u post a video with it on clean?

  • Yes, I will post

  • Posted!

  • I suppose that's a Fender Hot Rod back there? 1X12? I have a DeVille 4X10 and I can only hope that it sounds this good when I plug in my Sheraton II when I get it. Is that built in gain from the amp? or pedals? If it's pedals, what's your signal path?

  • Hello. It's a Peavey Classic 30, drive channel, no pedals.

  • yea read his description MainTightSqueeze

  • Ive got the exact same setup for smaller gigs. Works great for jazz, blues, funk, r&b etc.. Do you have stock pickups in there?

  • I love my Sheraton 2 as much as you do

  • good sound man ;)

  • Holy crap man! Nice playing, nice guitar. I like them better in natural though.

  • do you comment every video you send me jake?

  • Amazing work. Any chance you would tab this out?

  • AWESOME as usual!! What a beautiful guitar! Sounds just as good as it looks!!

  • Nice work, I have the same amp just looking for some ways to get that great blues tone and I think I've found it!

  • Awesome tones Bro!

  • Thanks!!
