  • Can u test this with a 22 mag and see what happens?

  • When I tried this it seemed every other round made it through. Should have gave it a couple more, it's looses a good bit of flexibility after the first hit.

  • Try it with aguila solid point 30gr super maximum hyper velocity. At 1750fps, that ammo hauls ass & might just be enough to punch through that.

  • yes but wat level armor was that

  • 22mag will go threw.

  • spray a little Teflon on that bitch and see what happens

  • @jwiggity You are an idiot. teflon does not help a bullet penetrate. It was used on bullets to lubrate it going down the barrel.

  • Can you use ammunition that is a little more realistic like 9mm - .45?

  • @criticaboutvids Check out my other videos.

  • @MFORTYFIVE And you were surprised by the fact that it didn´t penetrate?

  • @MFORTYFIVE have you ever tried 22 mag or a 17hmr?

  • .22 lr will not but the .17 hmr however. like a hot knife through butter.

  • @jgt22250 no shit. kevlar isnt made for high velocity rounds

  • what happens if the shooter is firing at the persons head??? I dont believe theres any protection there!

  • i love all the "expert opinions" we have here. lol everyone knows that just about any rilfe, except a .22lr would go through this vest.

  • wow a 22lr almost went through, that means a 17hmr would have went through

  • I wonder if those full metal jacket .22 rounds the military invented years ago for there silenced weapons would stop from passing threw the vest? I have done some reading & the FMJ .22 rounds are still out there very rare find. Many people are requesting them from ammo manufacturers to start producing again. Seems to me a FMJ .22 would be a nice little round for a NAA mini revolver.

  • Now try a 6mm plastic BB... Can't stop that.

  • try a .17 hmr

  • Now try a 22-250.

  • do 50cal bmr vs bullet proof vest

  • @steven9595959595 You mean BMG.

  • @steven9595959595 You mean BMG.

  • @ShadeStalker1915 yes i 'm not to familiar with rifles

  • @steven9595959595 thats stupid of course it will go through most vest are rated only up to .308

  • @thecamelsalesman research dragonskin body armor!!can old a granade!

  • there is a police officer in my city that can say from personal experience that kevlar vests do not stop .22 cal rounds very well. He was shot twice and both rounds passed right through the vest. He did survive and even got a couple rounds off himself, killing the wanna be thug that shot him. Then all the hood rats asked "why did the cop shoot him?" while the paramedics were rushing the cop to the hospital with two holes in his chest.

  • Testing needs a soft background, comparable to a human stomach. Ex: What happens to the paper sheet on a solig steel background when you shoot it with an arrow, contrary to having an old watermelon behind it? It looses penetration. However I do not doubt that .22 have big problems with a vest such as this, but for lesser ones not so sure.. Btw Ruger now got the BX-25 mag.

  • try a 22 magnum...im sure it will penetrate it..

  • Can't miss at that range LOL

  • @thecamelsalesman For making that retarded statement you can just slap yourself until i tell you to stop.

  • @thecamelsalesman Stick to selling camels... firearms are not your strong point.

  • @thecamelsalesman The AK isnt that powerful of a round. The American 7.62 is way more powerful. The PointBlank Armor we used will stop AK over and over

  • @thecamelsalesman dragon skin armor would stop a 308. from point blank range.

  • 270wsm.. that will punch a hole clean through any body armor on the market. it punched holes in 3/8 ar500 plate..i was rather shocked to say the least. good thing the gang bangers are too stupid to realize the power of your average big game hunting rifle.

  • @Duckyistrippin not the newer ones with the MOLLIE plates in.

  • @ChrisCorle01 uhm. mollie is an acronym for the webbing that carries the plates. you realize that right?

  • @Duckyistrippin yes and ive grown to call them mollie plates baised on what they were called by the MP's i hung around with on Parris Island

  • @ChrisCorle01 those plates are 1/4" ar 500 steel. 270wsm will absolutely pop holes in it.

  • @Duckyistrippin ill have to try it one day next week with a friend's .270wsm. i only have a .270 winchester. but i also have two plates 1 of witch is to heavy to carry. so that will be the test subject. ill let ya know how it turns out. it is slightly larger than 1/4 .

  • @ChrisCorle01 yeah we were just out fucking around in the desert. Shooting at my plate rack {le targets dot com} my 308 just chipped the paint, the 223 left a tiny little pinger in the metal. Then my buddy pulls out the wsm with some sort of {factory} ballistic tip hunting ammo and put two holes through it. And those are swinging 6" plates! it was an interesting education to say the least. He still couldnt hit the bottles floating down the stream though..the 308 ate him up on that test :)

  • @Duckyistrippin yea we r goen tomarow (sunday) to go shooting and sadly my camara has broaken on me so i cant get a video of it.

  • @ChrisCorle01 i still have the target i shot with it out on my dads farm..maybe one of these days ill get him to ship it out here so i can do some more testing... and show off "the holes"

  • @ChrisCorle01 Mollie is simply webbing loops that you hang equipment off of, it is a replacement for the old ALICE clip system. the ballistic plates you are referring to are called SAPI (Small Arms Protective Inserts) plates. the vest itself is called a IBA (Integrated Ballistic Armor.) Dont need to argue when you're wrong bud.

  • @UrbanKnight12 man im not sayen what i call it is right but thats what ive always herd them called by the MP's on Parris Island like i said it may not be right but its what we have always called them

  • @thecamelsalesman dumb ass

  • nice kit man, i really need all that urban commando shit to go shooting too!

  • Does any anyone know a good website that sells bullet proof vest that can stop rifle rounds

  • Remember, that is a soft vest. A hard vest w/ additional plating in the middle would probably stop it no matter where the round hit. The soft vests are meant for pistol rounds im guessing

  • @rickrossbach if you read the description he said the vest was 20 years old so it was pretty much warn out the older a vest gets depending on the amount of use about after 5-6 years the vest shouldnt be trusted much if its just Kevlar

  • @thecamelsalesman it would not penetrate dragon armor

  • A .17hmr CCI FMJ will go through

  • @MFORTYFIVE Dragon skin can take 7.62 NATO from what I understand, so 7.62 Soviet shouldn't be too much of a challenge, however I wouldn't want to be hit by either all the same. Could very well end up with cracked ribs or possibly rupture an internal organ I imagine.

  • 22 magnum will go through the Kevlar vest.

    22 long rifle will not.

  • @thecamelsalesmanhard body armour the best can stop 2 or 3 the round is low velocity so 5.56 is better armour penetration the 7.62 nato will so right through as its a full powered rilfe round used often in snipers but the ak 47 rounds won't

  • This guy is ready to go to war by the looks of him. Special Forces bullet proof vest, side arm with holder. Looks like Universal Soldier...

    lol

  • Well I know of two cheap guns/rounds that easily defeat the average kevlar vest, but I ain't sayin' because the good guys usually wear kevlar.

  • @Vernonu9 Criminals also wear kevlar and carry armor peircing rounds. A Nato Green Tip 5.56 would rip through that vest like butter.

  • @jigsaw183 Hey COD, ANY centerfire rifle round will go through that vest like butter.

  • @MFORTYFIVE So a non armour peircing .22 hornet round would go through that vest? Is is stricltly for centerfire pistol cartridges. Cool vid.

  • what is the shooter wearing as armor?

  • lol this is a joke ,

  • Yea I was amazed when going through the old wadded up Kevlar I had shot with cheap walmart 22lr I found numerous mushroomed 22lr rounds.

  • I wonder if even a flak vest could stop it

  • how many layers did it go through?

  • Why waste all that lead? One shot from a 7.62 x 54r scoped rifle @5-6 hundo is more my style. Where the hell did that come from???

  • @1000meterstare .22 has its place israel loves to give it to their military assasins. It is super quiet especially when silenced with subsonic ammo. What would you rather use as an assasin who plans on getting out alive. A loud 7.62 and you just gave away your position or a quiet .22 make a few well placed shots and you get to flee and nobody is the wiser. Stealth is often the best way to go but not always. When shit hits the fan you use the 7.62 :P so carry both

  • What cracks me up is wannabee's tricking out ruger 10/22's like they are assault rifles. They are not. The .22 lr is not an assault rifle caliber. Dude I think your reality check bounced. The .22lr is a caliber for when you are hungry - rabbits, squirrels, etc.

  • @1000meterstare It will kill a person just fine =) They may be small bullets but when you have 10-25 of them flying at you, let's see you walk through it ;)

  • @1000meterstare the .22 lr is not just for rabbits, squirrels, etc... it's also for people who like to shoot for less money than the alternative, people who are new to firearms, people who don't want a slug flying through stuff, and people who don't want to be loud for whatever reason. but i do understand where you're coming from with the 54r comment. :)

  • the "myth" calls for .17 hmr fmj (which is like shooting the vest with a needle)

  • Try some .22 magnum that achieves over 2000fps. I know .17hmr will penetrate a vest so high velocity .22 magnum might be able to. The 17 hmr is more pointed.

  • if it went through i woulda pooped a little... just kiding

  • is the bullet was FMJ ?

  • this was probably 1280 fps ammo, pretty standard high velocity

try with a cci stinger or Aquila hyper sonic. about 1705 fps/ 205 ftb

it would go deeper in, but prolly still wouldnt penetrate all the way

  • ha try a regular round the truth behind the myth is that a sub round or a round with little power will travel farther into Kevlar and such things better than a supersonic round or larger bullet is because a smaller round tears the armor instead of trying to go through it try this again id use subsonic ammo and regular

  • So... bullet was stopped?

  • @kikearturo1 yep. not even close to going thru.

  • @MFORTYFIVE try using a .22 WMR with a steel perpetrator.

  • isn't this more of a flak vest? not really made for bullets :) must be fun shooting it!

  • @714JN Nope not a flak vest. It's an IIIA police vest, made to stop bullets. And it does.

  • DEBUNKED
