Per questi non ci sarà mai nessuna fiaccola olimpica spenta. Che strano: chi istruisce ed arma la mano di chi reprime le rivolte del pane qui non sono gli stessi che in altra parte del Mondo (qui no!) protesta per i diritti umani?
I doubt living condition where better in the east than the west in the industrial revolution. As sad as it is life in the factory was better than life as a tenet farmer. That is all irrelevant now as we both know where the higher standard of living is.
I believe tenet farming is more degrading and soul destroying than sweatshops. Judging from the millions that chose sweatshop to farming i think i have some support. Don't get me wrong i think they are both evil.
You always make blanked comment thinking i don't know history or what I'm talking about then when your proven wrong you say well in that one instance. Now you want to change Sharia when it obvious humanitarian flaws are exposed. That's what I'm talking about no matter how good the intentions of the system is men will find a reason to abuse power. I don't see any checks and balances in Sharia. The American system in it current incarnation gives every one the opportunity to join the upper class.
India and Pakistan got nukes after the cold war. So your assertion needs some revision.
The dictator of Yugoslavia would not have had the secretarian divide to stroke if Sharia had not divided the people first.
Ahmadinejad believes in the 12 Imam so you can not know if he is suicidal or think that nuking Israel will bring him out or what. Look what the Iranians are doing in Basra.
I believe that Egypt's democracy needs revision into a true checked and balanced democracy.
If you can name a county that has adopted Sharia in the past 100 years become a beacon of human rights, scientific discovery, and individual freedom then i will agree the people of Egypt should be free to adopt sharia over democracy.
Republicanism is not democracy, look at how it has worked for the US direct democracy is 'true' democracy. Read James Madison's Federalist #10, that paper is what this country is founded on and is entirely a hypocritical system that gives people the illusion of say in government when in fact the republic was chosen to have the representatives effectively rule better than the people themselves.
Again, there haven't been "human rights" organizations to make that judgment post-WWI.
India had their first nuclear test in '74, Pakistan tested theirs in '98. India was still not on good relations with the US and Pakistan was still there to counterbalance India. It was puppet politicking and you know it.
If he is suicidal then George Bush and his Zionist cronies are genocidal. The burden of proof is on you as far as Basra goes, because that is a genuine anti-occupation resistance that crosses all sectarian divides being the largest resistance group in Iraq.
One in how many of the middle and lower class do you think actually join that one percent who owns 90% of the wealth throughout their lifetime? That 'opportunity' is an illusion to give in to a life of wage slavery.
"Humanitarian" organizations never existed on an international level until after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. I'm sure the quality of life was better in the East (before the Armenian genocide) than in the West with the slavery like conditions under the industrial revolution.
Well it looks like my first try did not post. I believe a Republic is better than pure democracy for the very reason i first stated. America may not have started as a peoples republic but Andrew Jackson and progression changed that. The Bill of rights also protects the people. Sharia has no mechanisms that i can see to balance power and always seems to reward the corrupt i.e. royal house of Saud.
That would be solved by erasing borders, dismantling state apparatuses and allowing decentralization and local governments (at the city level) to consist of direct democratic practice.
It is an out right fallacy to say that The U.S. was on better terms with Pakistan that India in the 90's. I remember people ranting and raving about how unstable Pakistan was. The whole border dispute with India. NO US administration has wanted any Muslim county to have nukes.
Basra is the typical Hamas style Iranian interference. Proof of the mistake of early withdraw. All Shiite infighting is not crossing sectarian divides.
I lived in technical poverty (us definition) for most of my childhood. My parent where not slaves i have never gone hungry and in a few years i will have a college degree. Who cares about the 1% when life is so good.
He has had a hand in the genocide of Iraqi, Palestinian, Somali, Colombian, and Afghans. Has Mahmood Ahmadinejad directed attacks towards any country? No.
It's not a system that is sustainable and it's collapsing all around you; it will play out like the domino theory. It won't last forever.
People dying in conflict is not genocide that is war. Genocide is the systemic and planned slaughter of a certain group. There is no parallel between the aforementioned counties and Darfur, Rwanda or Kosovo.
Ahnadinejad is just crazy. I don't trust people that are Holocaust deniers say they cured AID's think divine light is around them when they talk to the UN. Look at how the people of Iran are suffering under his rule. Have you seen the reporting of the persecution of minority groups in Iran on AL-Jazeera? Why does he not focus more on his county and less on rhetoric. Threw proxies he has attacked Israel and the US. Iranian made I.E.D's.
No surprise the U.S. is trying to secure Nukes from falling into the wrong hands. Say's nothing about helping them obtain them. We do the same for the Russians. They stole the Nuke directly from us.
You are wrong in saying that i would not be affected except in the religious realm. Under Sharia i would be prohibited from giving testimony in courts in cases involving Muslims and many other restriction have been in placed in the past. The second class citizen has a long history of mistreatment and scapegoating no matter the good intentions at first. Look at South Africa, Israel, Nazi Germany, Tibet, US, the list goes on. I have been to the Balkans and seen the mess Sharia made there.
I watch Al-Jazeera English and I'm still not convinced a Holocaust denying, military parading, Aids curing?, maniac like Ahmadinejad wants only peaceful nuclear power. I don't know why you think that the Muslim world has always got along but your wrong. Example, the Safavid's and Ottoman Empire where fighting in the 1500's. I could go on and on but i don't want to write a history book.
Because Pakistan is a puppet of the US they have Nukes? That does not make any sense as The US did not what Pakistan to have nukes. We both know Pakistan has Nukes because India has nukes.
He's not suicidal, nor a dictator and he's smart enough to know Israel has a nuclear arsenal and wouldn't attack it or any countries the US has special relations with. He is not a threat to two countries that can drop nuclear bombs around the world at will and you know it.
That was an unfortunate sectarian divide and against the teachings of the Koran because Muslims are not to kill other Muslims nor are supposed to judge if they are Muslim or not for only God can make that judgment.
..and under the US 'justice system' if you have money it translates into a get out of jail free card, or moreso... a 'no consequences for warmongering' if you're a politician or a lobbyist. Everywhere around the world there is 'second class' 'first class' etc. its just more subtle. Of course it should be revised by scholars but seeing how divided the Muslim world is I don't expect you having to worry about living under a 'global caliphate.'
My point stands, if Egyptians want Sharia they should.
and the man responsible for the mess was the dictator of Yugoslavia. Your attempts at drawing parallels to genocidal and imperialist regimes are becoming cliche...
It's outright fallacious to compare Sharia with Fascism. Muslims in the near east lived fine under Sharia before European colonialism, WWI, the creation of Israel, and sucessive western-imposed puppets that have plagued it over the past century. Sharia existed before and it's not a mythical utopia - it's a system that has worked and can work. You have your culture, we have ours. To call it being "ignorant" is just ethnocentric trash.
Why do you think the fundamentals of Sharia and Fascism are not the same? Is not the fact that Sharia failed to keep the Islamic world powerful enough to avoid colonialism proof of its failure?
I am not referring to any particular religion, nation or culture when i said ignorant disenfranchised people are easy to manipulate. I could be talking about Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Communist Russia ext.
For starters the fundamentals of Sharia are based around social justice and there is no human hierarchy, so dictatorship is incompatible with Sharia law - unlike what is practiced by the corrupt Saudi regime.
Secondly Islam does not teach militarism it teaches self defense as Islam is not spread through the sword.
Western values and its materialistic conceptions of greed, preemptive war, false power, subjugation of man for profit, self-gratification and arrogance. That's why the US has nukes.
If i was Christan under Sharia would i not be a 2nd class citizen? How is that social justice? When has Sharia been practiced without a human hierarchy?
I have traveled a bit in Muslim countries. I have seen women in hijab's shopping at Louis Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, the list goes on. I have seen in every Muslim county i have been in phallic symbols of men's power. The Muslim world is not exempt from greed, false power, subjugation of man for profit, self-gratification and arrogance.
The US has the nuke because of many thing technological advancement, WWII, the cold and so on.
Why does Pakistan have the nuke? Why is Iran and nearly every other Muslim regime seeking the nuke?
You seem to forget that even without interference shites would be fighting Sunnis. Arabs would fight Persians. Black Muslim would fight African Arab Muslims. The Turks would find someone and the Kurd's would be oppressed by everyone.
Pakistan was a puppet of the US in the cold war, and Pakistan was created as a country in the first place by colonial powers. The people had no say at all. Iran wants nuclear power for energy not for weapons, even the Ayatollah said nuclear weapons are not permissible. No, they wouldn't fight. These are all manufactured conflicts perpetuated by those in power. There was no sectarian divide before the invasion. The causes of these conflicts are the imposed arbitrary borders/petty nationalism.
Symbolically or spiritually yes, though it has little meaning outside of the religious realm. Your rights to live among others in peace as a minority in a Muslim majority land would be respected and serves no basis of discrimination except from religious customs - where all religions look down upon other ones because they're "incorrect". That is all due to globalized capitalism. The dictators, puppets, etc. of such countries allow that for their self-interest, not for the sake of Allah.
Some people don't resist to show how ignorant are they? It took 800 years for Egypt to become a majority Muslim country. Christians and Muslims Egyptians are very close genetically. 4000 Arabs invader couldn't impact 20 million Egyptians. Egypt main problem is the military dictatorship since 1950 and history shows us the results of military dictatorship in any country (e.g. Spain look at Franco era). Muslim Brotherhood is not the right answer for Egypt problems. Arab is based on Language.
If you look at American foreign policy after World War II to present you would notice they have done more harm than good. Backing so many dictators and absolute monarchies and militarily imposing them on local populations. Then claiming it was a necessary evil when criticized. Even now the U.S. claims that the "moderate" of these non-democratic regimes should be supported instead off the democratic movements in fear of anti-U.S politicians gaining power. Resulting in U.S. interests under threat.
