If it wasn't for Halo, Call of Duty most likely wouldn't be around. You can't really argue the fact that Call of Duty has gotten stale, and is way less involved in it's community than Bungie has always been. Don't get me wrong, Call of Duty 4 was one of the best games I have ever played but the whole franchise has lost originality and drive since then.
