James White's final question (at 4:00) should have been turned araound on him. "Upon what basis can White tell us that this is in fact the official Sola Fide/Sola Scriptura Protestant position?" Sungenis' answer was perfect.

White's whole argument is destroyed at the beginning of this video when Sungenis hits him with Psalm 106. White cannot deal with Phineas because he was saved because of his works, so he has to write it off as "Well, Paul never mentioned Phineas and Psalm 106."

i was referring to the ad-hominen attacks on Sungenis, when White critques his testimony in the book surprised by truth

Hi justthefacts, I have heard the entire Mass debate. The only time I hear White get a little upset is during cross examination when Sungenis is "supposed" to be asking questions, and is making a long comment. White calls him on this as he properly should. And as far as the ad-hominem attacks, are they critiques of the book? Or ad-hominem attacks? There is a big difference. I'm not sure what your referring to, so I am just asking.

I never saw the Mass debate... There were 2 of them one on 1999 and one in 2003.

There is a big difference. Agreed. But it was ad hominen. There is nothing wrong critiquing Sungenis's theology, but to attack his character and paint Sungenis as an immature church hopper in his review of the book is unacceptable.

I have to say I am impressed that Sungenis at least is acting "courteous and professional" in this debate, so far. I think in the MASS debate, 1999, he was rude at times. But thank you pacislander for making this entire debate available to watch. I Dont see it on White's website, and its one of his better debates, in my opinion.

Wuebbsco, White was equally rude, and at times more, you got to remember as well that White, had said some really nasty comments towards Robert Sungenis before the mass debate. You wont see this sort of thing on White's website, he is just interested doing a PR job with his cut and paste mentality. So yes I agree-thank you pacislander for presenting the debate just as it is.
