  • I have the picture of the "Mad Hatter" when listening to this. I don't type this with malice for the piece cos it's actually very good...

  • Balance of each reorders sound is fantastic!

  • Bravo !

  • How fun!

  • great modern playing of this marvelous instru !

    I enjoy it from france

  • Wow! Great music. Great video. Great playing!

  • i love it when it comes into a fugue near the end

  • weird guys

  • reminded me of jethro tull

  • Well the best recorderplayers in the world have finally become insane, i guess i understand, no hard feelings right?.

  • Vivaldi?

  • No, this piece is composed by my father, Dick Koomans.

It's okay if you don't believe me. I would find it hard to believe, too, if a random internet stranger told me their father was the composer. :)

  • your lying!!

  • Why would I lie about something like that?

  • dont know.... to feel cool??

  • Um, right.

If you don't believe me, just check my school project videos. It shows my full name at the end.

And if I wanted to feel "cool", I would've picked someone from a rock band or something.

  • Bravíssimo! C'est unique!!!

  • Does the big bass recorder has a double reed just like the bassoon. or.. something else xD

  • no, just a tube (called a bocal) leading to the same kind of head joint as the other sizes. Helps with wrist comfort, holding it while you play.

  • Haha, if the bass recorder had a double reed it wouldn't be a recorder, mate. ;)

  • Rofl Yeah

I saw that it had a bocal so I tought that it also had a reed. But I found out later that I was wrong xD

  • came across this by accident - but now I'm hooked. Fantastic!

  • Fantastic! Great piece, fabulous playing!

  • Respect voor deze mensen, echt wel. Over t algemeen hebk t niet zo op moderne muziek voor blokfluit, maar dit vink wel een hip stuk ^^,

  • Fredkoning; There is a continuo part to this piece which is missing. It's missing because the runner, Hanz Grunner, with his portable keyboard in the case, is running to catch his train to the concert hall in order to join the performance. Unfortunately, he missed the train, and thus we miss a very nice continuo part!

  • C'est très amusante!

    Super!

Non seulement la musique mais l'image!

  • Just amazing. The best use of recorders in my opinion (:

  • Gods of the recorder! I'd love to play that piece someday.

  • There's something sort of pleasingly rockstar-ish about these guys. Look out, it's a bunch of Dutch recorder players with more sex appeal than they know what to do with! (I'm ordering their CD off of amazon, mark my words.)

  • very good performance, but I don't understand the connection in the movie between the running man en the music, should he join the group? Was he late? Or what?

  • The Jogger, running...

    Get it?

  • Thanx

  • these guys rock! i miss them, i'm gonna have to go and see them again sometime. thanks. are you a recorder player?

  • Very Interesting. Thank you. It's refreshing to hear something different for a change.

  • Complex modern-sounding piece, but it works really well, nicely done!

  • That makes me smile... well played!
